this one... scoobydoo and helmetbox diy the lights before.

but they all connect to a switch, so only turn on when required.

i installed 4 ufo blue led light underneath. power drew from signal. keep gettin powercut.. so e mootortiam pull from head light .. i went test no problem but on e way home i got power cut while on e expressway~! thk God it was a traffic jam.. if not i suddenly slow down...

 

anyway i wonder if any bros here can advise me wad to do.

n i hope to be able to join u guys sumtimes

sorry bro,

not familiar with the mp3, but the problem sounds like a shorted circuit triggering the power cut.

 

my suggestion is first to isolate the cause by disconnecting the leds, then ride it for a few days n see if the power cut problem comes back.

 

if power cut still occurs, its clear that your leds are not the cause. send bike to piaggio or good mechanic for testing coz it could be some defective parts or damaged/shorted wire harness.

 

if no more power cut, then suggest you check your ufo leds. maybe one or more of the 4 is defective and shorts when warm. unsuitable wiring could also be a possibility but tapping from the head light is usually hard to go wrong, unless the earthing is questionable.

How many km liao?

Have you checked the rest of the things that could affect FC?

1. Engine balance

2. Plugs

3. Oil

4. Air filter

5. Tire & pressure

 

Valve clearance... quite a big job considering ours everything hide inside casing.

is your transmission set (belt, rollers, sliders) changed? how about air filter?

 

how about trying one of those carbon & gum clearing addictives like the STP fuel injector cleaner (giant, autobacs, etc) or the FP-60 (motoworld, race werks, etc)

mine now abt 5800km done liao le (went up north 3 times liao)..i used the stp injector cleaner b4, tink not much of difference lei..

 

i see some of u guys shows the rpm at 80kmh only 5.3, i need ard 5.8 to reach lo..filters, engine oil and air filter i do on regular basis.

 

belt and rollers due to change, but the U-shoe not stock. so have to wait. i opened up the transmisson to see, seems quite alright lei but maybe rollers need to change liao.tinking of changing to heavier ones..

 

now waiting for the U-shoe to come then i DIY the belt, rollers and other things..

try replacing your roller first.

cause i just replace my roller belts and u clip.

the rpm drop a bit.

My fuel consumption always been less than 23km/L (260km+/- blink reserve) since the bike was 2000km old.

 

Today I just spent $400/- to pamper the bike including:

 

1. Maxima Extra E.O

2. Air Filter (Original)

3. Throttle body Syn + O Rings

4. Steering cone bearings

5. Fork oil (Maxima Fork Oil) + oil seal + addition of fork guard

6. Transmission Oil (Maxima 80w gear oil)

7. Brake Calipers cleaning + Brake Fluid Flush)

 

Well, I hope my f/c will improve, if not it is really my riding style that is the main root cause of the problem

Hi all SWingers,will be bk in sg on 3april.now still in dubai,going istanbul 30mar.job requirements and really wanna meet up anywhere in sg for tcss session with SWinger bros.Bike took over from bro Paithorn still stock except for HID light conversion only.

 

So 3april(friday) is my preferred offday to meet up.i am comfortable with any location.Best is got place to see bike while we sip kopi and tok ****.**GEYLANG** any1 familiar??Just in case-my mobile is -96886444(jason)Hoping any bros can come up with a meet-up place.

where did u do the servicing arh... K&T?

the fork guard same size as S4 one right, got from FJT?

i also want to fit the fork guard, but that time change fork spring/oil forgot

last night shopping was good... found the things i wanted but didn't buy coz pai sei make john n daivd wait while i try fitting

 

so went back just now to continue... got a pair of hi-tec waterproof "riding" boots for only $119 (almost same price as army gortex), a bottle of maxima coolaide, bottle holder to hang at the handlebar, some clothings, etc.

 

btw, i think SWing's coolant capacity is really 3L coz after sucking in the full bottle (1.89L), i topped in another 1L via the reservoir. will have to monitor/keep topping up till it stops sucking

Nope, not K&T. Bike shop in Kaki Bukit...

set off from GP Esso/Petronas 9am, ride leisurely via Kota Tinggi to Jason Bay (100km), coastal ride down to Sungai Rengit (90km) for lunch about 12+pm, roam around town, departing via KT for bike wash at either JB (110km) or GP (130km), return via causeway or 2nd link.

u confirm its 28grams rollers ? cos 28g supposed for SW600. Last time round chaned at taihin, they tell me SW400 using 21g

Bro, I dun mind joining but Geylang, plus Friday nite - dun think have space for a group of Swingers.

Also too "eye catching" in case ppeoples' GF or wife's sister spotted our SWs!!

 

JB is not that far... from yr place to JB and back via Woodland....less than 40km......and toll-free.... only must bring passport.... and enjoy RM7 bike wash cum RM1.90/litre Petrol

if you want pirelli diablo scooter, best deal in town is at motoworld. $145 (ask muji directly) include labour, front balancing n nitrogen fill... where else can find? suggest buy something to make invoice >$150 so that can get $5 voucher for next use (wonder if can use 5 mins later ). but note you could be the 2nd SW changing tires there, i was the first n they wasn't very sure how to take out the rear tire, mine was their training run

i find the diablo scoot pretty good; nice looking threadings, good grips and stable; doesn't "wobble" at the bends i frequently take, e.g. linking KJE-BKE, ECP-KPE, toa payoh-PIE(westbound).
