according to Honda, we should keep the windshield clear from chemicals/polish, just wash/rinse with clear water will do.

according the US SW forum (see thread "Givi 214DT Windshield Safe on 2009 Silverwing?" link below), Pledge seems to work better than Plexus and RainX.

http://silverwing600.forumotion.com/t2684p30-givi-214dt-windshield-safe-on-2009-silverwing

Pledge does work a treat. Used it on choppers to, (the rotary wing type ).

It was also recommended by a helmet rep. when questioned what was the best product to clean visors. He replied, Company policy is Arai visor cleaner. Then added his personal cleaner of choice was Pledge.

I also use pledge on my wheels after I have cleaned them, it gives a coating that protects the metal surface.

So it looks like pledge does a lot more than making the furniture shine.

Hi there,

The Hagon shock in HK for the Silverwing is 430 mm in length.

There are no option length and spring for it.

Anyone had experience inaccurate fuel indicator reading?

My fuel gauge is flashing when my mileage is only 240km and when I top up, I can only squeeze in 8-9 liters of fuel.

Currently I have 2 tanks of fuel experience.

Don't wait until it blinks to check.

Normally the 1st bar goes off at 90km+/-.

By 3rd bar, it should be 150km+/-.

1. Sometimes when you on and off the switch, the bar will correct itself.

2. Sometimes if the bike is tilted forward or back will affect reading too, e.g. higher or lower rear end.

3. Sometimes if the bike sense that it'll be sold, it'll throw tantrum... hehehe.

i think the downtown is rather suitable for diana if the low seat can bring it's seat height down by about 30+mm. it is reasonably lightweight, ample storage and can do sufficient speed for some comfortable touring.
