can get from BS, FJT, Tat Beng, KS Motor or even LAB... i got mine from Tat Beng.

 

if batt is not very old, suggest you monitor status of magnetic coil... sometimes weak batt is due to partially defective charging system. check running voltage when engine/magnetic coil is hot, healthy should be at least 14+V while on the go.

Thank for the useful advice. Find the Tech corner very useful, happy to have this forum for SW. Have been riding my JDM 400 SW since 2008, bought it second hand.

 

I will go Tat beng today, or KS motor (both very near each other). Hope they got stock.

 

Just hope it not the magnetic coil....hope change battery will do..

The battery in my SW needs to be replaced. My fuel and coolant temperature gauge keep restarting when I crank my engine.

This is the tell tale sign of battery may not be able to hold charge or insufficient charging.

3. Ride to Leh (Keylong 1N, Pang 1N, Diskit 1N, Leh 3N)

4. 1-way flight from Leh to Delhi. *SGD$165

5. Delhi local tours (3 nights).

6. Flight back to SG.

haha.. you all are right.. i ever push a bike to petrol station.. lucky not this SW, is my other old bike which i sold 2yrs back.. ride till no petrol at all, fuel light totally never light up.. half way on the expressway, throttle no power comes in.. LOL.. bad experience..

no need so jialat la... SW's reserve got about 4L so if you know your bike's average FC (always good to know you bike's tempers and appetite), can still ride comfortably for another few 10s of km before breaking sweat

e.g. if avg FC is abt 23km/L, can ride for another 60+km after blinker comes

 

 

light indicators below the speedometer are mostly for sensors (except the V-Matic which goes on distance). what SW9000 meant is when you see a light, chances are there's something wrong with the bike.

5 indicators from left to right:

* ABS engaged indicator... our SW mostly non-ABS so won't light up

* parking brake engaged indicator... make sure it is off when moving off

* PGM-FI malfunction indicator... flashes when there's abnormality in FI system, also lights for a few seconds and then go off when the ignition switch is turned ON and the engine stop switch is at RUN. if on at any other time, time to go workshop liow. was told also light up when batt is "bad".

* V-matic indicator... lights up every 24k km, reset will do

* high beam on indicator... when on high beam

 

2 light indicators between fuel and temperature gauges:

* left = low engine oil pressure indicator

* right = high coolant temperature

any of these light up while riding means something is wrong... better check.

 

NOTED.. i notice a weird sound coming out from my belt area.. this happens when i go in jb yesterday night when the customs is jam.. throttle abit and you can hear the sound.. after clearing the custom and ride as per normal, the sound is gone.. funny.. even my wife notice there is weird sound.. LOL..

The best opportunities to meet HH Dalai Lama are during the periodic public teachings he gives in Dharamsala (McLeod Ganj) or other places in India. DO check the schedule section for his whereabouts.

The problem with Sri Betong is the communication with the front desk (booking).

The last time we went, reservation was made by phone call.

Yet on arrival, they said no booking made. Lucky got enough rooms to spare us.

Today spent some quality time with the daughter go fish spa at Mainland Tropical Fish Farm at Pasir Ris Farmway 1.

Also got prawn fishing but we didn't try.

Highway E22 is ready. Total length 77km.

If traveling at 120km/h, will take only 40 mins.

 

To go Desaru from JB, the exit to E22 is just 5km after Tebrau Jusco on the left.

Which means we will have enough time (saved) to explore the beaches of Desaru before reaching Sg Rengit for lunch. *Need time to digest the breakfast...

 

Coming back from Desaru, the E22 ends and joint directly to the 2nd link just before the last toll (very near connector to NSHW).

Should cut journey by 1hr and reach Malacca by 5pm.

Example:

1. SG Rengit to Panawar (start of E22) = 28km = approx 20 mins.

2. E22 takes 45 mins to reach 2nd link.

3. 2nd link to Machap RSA = 57km = 30 mins. *If depart at 2pm, meeting time will now be 3.35pm.

4. Machap to Ayer Keroh Toll = 120km = 1hr.

5. Ayer Keroh toll to Baba House = 16km = approx 15 min (at 80km/h).
