Me should go back to work on 23 Nov liao unless Doc give extension again.

Must ride bike normally by then. 27 Nov shouldn't be a problem.

 

Anyway, got good news yesterday.

Given free added days of Hospital Leave (for loyal, good and handsome servant) so my annual leave is only affected 13 days. * Balance 3.5 days if I go back on 23 Nov.

Unit will write in for another addition if needed to avoid affecting my pay.

Wah. Total 5 months no work (including May's knee Op, 1.5 month MC).

Must commit my soul to them liao... at least until 55... 9 more years!

general plan is to meet at JB Shell (after immi) at 9am, proceed to Desaru Fruit Farm for walkabout before heading down south for lobster lunch. with the new senai-desaru highway, distance is "too short" for a breakfast stop (we experience it the last time) so settle own breakfast before meetup.

after lunch, shopping shall be at Bt Indah and return via 2nd link to avoid the 6+pm super duper causeway jam

The Feelfree rubber compound are more consistent. The two sets of diablo I had experienced flat centre at about 10,000km. The wear at the centrefor Feelfree was much better. I can hold the line better when I was cornering with Feelfree.

similar as wat ah choong said. feelfree is more lasting than diablo and the grip is better. anyway, my stock bridgestone oso gone botak at 11k km. din check it cos its less than a year...

how much is a pair of feelfree and at which workshop? i'm thinking of trying them out for next change

 

better grip and more lasting?

personally (just my personal view, no one has to agree or disagree), i'm skeptical if such tyres are available, or economically available.

the feedback we've got in the past is that feelfree's compound is softer with better grip, but less durable than diablo, something that is theoretically consistent.

in terms of tyre design/technology (at least for now), there're always trade-offs (many), e.g. grip vs. durability (tread compound difference), wet vs. dry performance (tread pattern and rain grove difference), noise vs. ear comfort (tread pattern difference), etc.

basically, softer compounds are generally more grippy but they wear out faster than the harder ones.

 

Tread compounds include additives to impart wear resistance and traction in addition to environmental resistance. Tread compound development is an exercise in compromise, a trade-off between traction performance and durability. Generally, hard compounds have long wear characteristics but poor traction whereas soft compounds have good traction but poor wear characteristics.

 

having a softer and yet more durable than hard compound would be the dream formula for all tyre manufacturers. such tyres would dramatically change the world of automotive races, especially in F1 races where tyres play a major part of their strategies.

 

just sharing my 0.0002 cents view... up to everyone to agree or disagree

Home sweet home!!

8hrs for coach to reach back to Compass Point, Sengkang.

 

Was caught in a 1-hr jam at Seremban (lorry over-turned into drain) and then raining almost all the way to GP.

Sit inside coach was so dizzy... I still prefer riding, rain or no rain.
