By the way any windshield to recommend that is longer than the orginal one? As I find the wind resistant is pretty big, haha rushing all over to my face.. But if I hide under it, is gd!

As well as is normal for the pick up to be slightly heavier right? Due to it's weight.

Maybe you want to contact Atlantic200, he is upgrading his SW givi shield to another model. He may consider to part it if the price is right.

Thanks, btw if i I delay the sealing up of the case will it affect the engine performance?

Anyway the oil that appears at the stator area is not really dripping. The oil stain is actually is the oil mist mix with the road dust. It is will affect your performance if you delay a little.

as currently a bit budget, or anyone got any diy method for the slow leakage of the engine sump case?

If just a mist/damp of the area, it'll probably last till next EO service.

Add $50 +/- for the repair when you next change your EO.

Silicon glue don't think can handle the heat...

I see, I tried using the silicon. Greyish one which suitable for high temp.

Applied last night, seems ok which it manage to stop the leak, but I didn't apply the higher part of the case hence it still leak kind of a bit from the upper part. Btw the whole case is tighten and secure by the bolt ard right?

Will try to seal the upper part tonight. :D

The compartment is high pressured when the engine is operating.

Glue the outside only for temporary. Still need proper seal between the metals.

I also 179cm. Muahaha. Lucky not yet starting to shrink.

The original is slightly short for us with more wind noise and turbulence at the helmet.

The Givi should be able to reduce the noise and wind.

If too tall, it will obstruct the view during rain because you will need to see through the windshield instead of over it.

I think the Givi's will just nice be under eye level. I'm not really sure cos didn't install one.

You can try cut a piece of paper and stick to your windshield to simulate the extension.

Sit on your bike and see if you can handle the additional obstruction. * No need to ride.

Alternatively, use this method:

  Quote

1. Get a measuring tape.

2. Park your bike on level ground. Measure 9 meters from your front wheel contact patch. Drop something on the pavement, keys, a rock, whatever.

3. Measure nine meters more, you're now 18 meters in front of your bike. Drop something else, wallet, ex-girlfriend, whatever.

4. Tape a ruler along the center of the windshield with masking tape or something, extending beyond the top of the windshield.

5. Sit on your bike and look at the two things you dropped on the pavement. Try to sit with your normal riding posture. Don't cheat - if you slouch a bit when riding, slouch a bit now.

6. You can sight along the ruler and see how many inches up from the top of the shield you see the 9m and 18m marks. This tells you how many cm taller you would like your windshield.

7. Your optimum windshield height is somewhere between these two heights. Lower for warmer climates, sportier feel and more air flow. Higher for colder climates / quieter riding / more wind protection.

I see, okie.. Will do the sealing up fast. Btw I think I saw a 06 silverwing wing at my gf house there. The bike seems like came with gasket for the engine oil case. As the sealing looks pretty even to me and looks exactly like my s4 gasket but is maroon in colour. Yet to met the owner, hope to bump into the owner soon and have a chat with him! :D
