April 12 Songkran ride to Hatyai & Koh Samui

 

Reminder. For those going Songkran, kindly pay up the accommodation cost (see my blog for costing).

Either by cash during Thursday meeting or via POSB 085-29381-8. SMS me when done.

 

Also, kindly update the location coordinates from my blog into your GPS.

Somebody has to volunteer to be the Lead Bike. Otherwise from Hatyai onwards, I'll lead at 100km/h only.

Finally coax my good friend into purchasing a JDM silverwing..How the JDM and Euro version low beam position are opposite each other. He had paid a deposit and collecting next week...The turbo button seem fun....

Petrol to him no problem....

He had one Cl 2 and Cla 2b and now cl 2A

Plus this bike he have 3 bikes.....Altantic 200 he is somehow like you...

Hi, care to share what boon siew is selling in spore? euro or jdm?

other than the difference in the colour of the signal lights and the "over drive" button, any other difference?

If I not mistaken, boon siew dun bring in jdm.

Bro can look at the silverwing tech corner with more details on the differences.

Example FJS got HISS, ECU mapping different oso hence better FC, Mainstand position is slightly different, orignally came without hazard like unlike JDM have. Other than that, not much difference ba.

Main concern to people is the FC, but if u ride relax dun force the throttle on pick up, still can get 21 - 22km/L which is not that bad oso ba.

Hi thank for your input! FC is not an issue for me. As long as both are equally mechanically reliable.

cheap Mobil1 engine oil, STP injector cleaner and Sonax oil from Giant again! thinking to try 0-30W as only city riding.

You guys uses car oil for SW???

 

yes for me as SW has no wet clutch to lubricate using EO. but I change more often at 4kkm. oil still very good at this distance.

Hmm how about we follow the SAF formation. Slow one lead fast one follow and cheer for the front..

Well, that's one thing I will miss if I sell me busa...On an open road, there is no replacement for displacement...bigger cc bikes are design for those long haul trips where smaller cc are better locally...still thinking very hard if I should call it quits and get a SWT...

Cadence run (ride)... will stress out the faster guys.

 

Best to go by CC and wrist power.

Those got GPS can ride faster, rest more and buy drinks for the others.

Slow ones then no choice loh. Touch, pee and go. Reach destination earlier then can R & R.

 

Anyway, Thailand HW is different. Got pass through towns and village.

Don't think can go fast with all the humans and animals crossing the road. 100km/h is a good average speed...
