Guys for the trransmission oil check, do I remove the oil top up bolt to check whether the oil is flowing out or shld I just check the inner tip of the bolt for oil?

Yes I believe the change in the gear oil affect the bike's performance; it now vibrate much more, considering that it's almost "run in", guess I have to spend money to do the servicing again. Anyone do their servicing at Unique? I always go there when I was still riding s4. I believe their EO service package is very competitive, and since I be using the EO for the final transmission, I believe I can go for the s4 EO package that comes with 3 bottles of EO. Any comments?

I just change my gear oil to OWS 10w40 EO, and Wat a big difference! The bike is so quite and smooth now! Thanks for all the advices bro!

as long as the EO is one of the mainstream ones with specs as recommended by Honda (see owners manual), should be ok.

 

* Pro Honda GN4 4-stroke oil (U.S.A. and Canada) or equivalent motor oil

* API service classification: SG or Higher

* JASO T903 standard: MA

* Viscosity: SAE 10W30~10W40

 

3 bottles would be just right with a little of spare for "flushing" if you want... 220ml 2200ml for engine bay (with filter change), 330ml for final drive (there's an overflow outlet if fill too much so no worries).

 

Anyone knows is it possible to top up my final drive oil without removal of the plastic covers? As I find my oil is not flowing out upon iding which i guess I have to top up. Is that right?

don't need to remove the black-ish transmission assembly cover as the bolt can come from where it is.

you'll need a funnel like thingy to "squeeze" the motor oil into the small horizontal inlet hole though.

If going to unique, no problem for servicing. But I do advise u to know how much EO you need b4 going. They do too many bikes n sometimes may not remember how much eo os needed for each bikes.

 

But yes, their prices are very competitive indeed.

Hi Swing rider,

Can any kind soul point out to me if the new SWT 400 and SWT 600 uses "mostly" the same components other then difference in engine cc?

The reason I'm asking is because BS don't bring in the 600 and I'm afraid spare parts are hard to find in Singapore (Not really into buying from online)

Simple things like brake pad, alternator, water pump, gaskets, CVT wear and tear stuff...Please advice...Cheers!

Not sure if there's SW-T600 available in SG so cannot compare.

 

For the older models, both are the same except the variator and rollers.
