These few days DIY many things:

1. Re-seal right crankcase cover;

2. Wrap exhaust header;

3. Change EO, final drive oil, oil filter;

4. Clean transmission;

5. Change brake fluid and brake pads;

6. Relocate IU and spray IU cover;

7. Remove radiator mesh protector.

Learned lots of things about SW. Tired but satisfied :cheers:

So brake pads you changed to which brand??? Vesrah???

Yes, only changed the rear as front still ok. Last EBC HH rear left only 1mm and lasted 20kkm. Let's see how long this last. Cleaned-up a lot of rubbish on the brake calipers / piston area on both front and back. Now bedding in. Brake lever feels smooth and braking force is good. No more squeaking sound from rear :)

i have been following you guys on the postings here..

sorry guys, i am making a comeback thus doing some revamping here....

i do not want the stickys to build up becus most of us now are using small-screen smart phones and

ipads...so we always have to scroll alot down before we could read individual postings. and it is always much neater with less stickys around. cus my experiences, stickys always become dead threads sooner or later.

hmm..David, scooby, if you guys think its good for info hub to go public, then i will do just that...:-)

you guys can just input techie stuff in there...but refrain from chatting. i will delete uneccessary postings in there.

i will also rename the info hub to a more appropriate title.

what you guys think? let me know :)

Cheap and good right??? It got very good initial bite which I liked it very much...In fact I used for almost a decade....At this price range, no brake pads can come close....

One thing no good about this pad is brake dust...No issue to me as I wash bike weekly...If you got light color rims then good luck...

Please do not buy it guys...Cos I do not want to price to go up.....ahhahhaha

EBC is good but I would say a bit over price..Whereby vesrah sintered pads cost 50% less...

If you pair it with a new rotor, lagi power...I also still bedding my front rotor...Initial feel quite good....

I must say Vesrah has got good bite all the time. Just like its slogan on the packaging. Even when wet, you got bite and you can feel how much pressure you putting on the discs before locking up. Been using since my CB400 days and they seem to last a long time... If you wanna compare bout brake dust, Goldfren is worst than Vesrah...

Anyone clean/service ur crankcase breather b4? I think is the Drain tube that is located just in front of ur main stand.

Possible to replace the choke with a small open filter? Which allows a better ventilation for the engine.

This is the crankcase breather. I think service means sticking in a cotton bud and clean the inside, and the black stopper at the end.

I used in 2003 for my Super 4 Ver S onwards...In fact I tried many sub $30 brands like SBS, Goldfren, Ferrodo...Nothing came close...Sintered pads is another issue...It has higher temp and higher friction which will eat the rotors...

I also used it for my track session on my F4i...BTW I am not very fast rider just enjoy the fun chasing down novice riders at gudang...ahhahahah Usually after 3 sessions throw and change as extreme heat cycles degrade the bite of the pads....

Some pads have good linear bite, some have good initial bite...

Only Eversuccess has it...Maybe the profit margin not that high which I am glad most bikes dont have it or not many people know about this brand except trackies as vesrah RJL are race pads that better than most brand, they dont come cheap about $100 per set...Anyway that's beside the point......

If not the price will go up.....It has maintain same price since 2003 as far as I can remember....

Vesrah sintered pads can be purchased at around $40...A 50% cheaper than EBC....

This is a direct replacement for the 4 clips securing the top and bottom of the radiator cover. Good thing is can be easily unscrewed with a phillips srewdriver, unlike the original which will self-destruct on removal.

Yeah, cheap and good. Remember to use back the metal clips and plastic inserts on the back of the pads.

Good advice..Those backing actually reduce the heat transferred to your calipers and brake oil...Not necessary but good to have it....

Maybe you can help to delete the existing chit-chatting posts in the tech thread to keep it clean and easy to search. Next time, it will have less chance of such posts when it's burried low. Thanks in advance yah!

Don't think it's necessary to remove the tube. Just make sure whatever cloth / buds used to clean don't get stuck in the tube; else really have to remove it liao :lol:

DIYs end up with a lot of cuts on hands. Next time will give myself more protection. Do try out all the BIG cc American, British, German and Jap bikes when you are overseas!

One of the side of the roller has the metal ring while the other does not. When you put the rollers in the movable drive face, which direction should they face? When I took out mine and looking down on the rollers, the metal ring side all face clockwise direction.
