My transmission parts are here at Boon Siew.

Drive shafts and bearings, etc.

 

They may have some spares bah.

You may want to ask Ah Choong to help secure 1 set for future use.

 

May I ask what is your mileage done to change drive shaft?

I believe Boon Siew has shifted to Kah Motor's Ubi showroom. They're on the 2nd floor, while the cars are on the first.

No fixed mileage bah.

 

My 1st FJS 70k km also no need to change.

My SW-T shaft worn about 26k. Possibly due to faulty bearings at the clutch assembly more than wear and tear.

Another possibility could be me throttle too fast with the SW-T due to high reving of the lighter rollers.

What are the signs of a worn shaft?

 

Constant frictional noise from the clutch assembly area, especially during idling or turning the rear wheel backwards.

Sometimes can be mistaken for belt, clutch pads or bell wear.

 

Most possible cause would be worn/damaged roller bearings inside the clutch assembly.

Was advised to change the bearings during belt change (24k-30k). About $50 for 2 bearings.

For most people, it will take about 1.5 years interval to change a belt, so I guess the $50 is a good prevention for a much higher cost of repair.

 

Get it check get at ACM, K & T or your own reliable shop.

ok thanx for the info bro, tis is my 2nd low beam bulb that has blown liao..........

my bike 2yrs 3mths travelled 23000km nia........... dun knoe wats wrong..............

 

Bulb used for 2 years ... good returns liao.

Sometimes not electrical bah. Too much vibration or bumping roads can also damage the bulb.

That's why spare bulbs in the trunk should also be well cushioned.

The insurance company is directasia lo. The reason why they are cheaper is bcos: they only insure u til ur first claim, thus no renewal after the first claim.

 

Also, they have excess amount, esp if bike loss or claim is from overseas. If im not wrong, if bike lost in m'sia, they only pay 50% of mkt value.

 

But of cos, if u jus wan a insurance policy so u can ride, they r definitely e cheapest.

From Sg car forum,heard horrible story about DA reject your claim. If you have any modification better dont get from them. I still go back to NTUC. Yes is cheaper, but not by a big margin..

If you need cheap bulb can get from rowell road, beside FJT. Per bulb $3.50. Used it for my father van.

I personally used yellow H7 for low beam and 65Watt H7 for high beam. So far so good.

usually performance bulbs got much shorter lifespan around 500 hours.They actually uses thinner filament which is brighter but burn out faster.

Can get philips eco series 10% more light but last 3 times more than those plus 50%/90% bulbs.
