Back Home after Kuantan trip.

 

Finally got to visit the Laozhi Temple and learned some new knowledge there.

Also:

1. Watched 2 shows; Taiji Zero and Taken 2.

2. 1x foot massage.

3. Very fulfilling Satay dinner... chicken, mutton and ... rabbit!

4. Bike gone Holland; Lead bike too fast and lost biker followed wrong vegetarian bike.

5. Super giant naked Lizard couple at Cempadek Beach.

it's a pity that interests in vegetable oil technology died due to cheap access to petroleum in the 80s. else, we'ld have a greener earth today. imagine a world without "black smoke" from diesel and petrol engines.

the world produces tonnes of waste every day. how nice if someone could come up with a "waste incineration engine" that's small enough for use in cars and bikes

 

 

Vegetable Oil (sometime referred to as Bioliquids)

 

Rudolf Diesel was the father of the engine which bears his name. His first attempts were to design an engine to run on coal dust, but later designed his engine to run on vegetable oil. The idea, he hoped, would make his engines more attractive to farmers having a source of fuel readily available. In a 1912 presentation to the British Institute of Mechanical Engineers, he cited a number of efforts in this area and remarked, "The fact that fat oils from vegetable sources can be used may seem insignificant today, but such oils may perhaps become in course of time of the same importance as some natural mineral oils and the tar products are now."[1]

 

Periodic petroleum shortages spurred research into vegetable oil as a diesel substitute during the 1930s and 1940s, and again in the 1970s and early 1980s when straight vegetable oil enjoyed its highest level of scientific interest. The 1970s also saw the formation of the first commercial enterprise to allow consumers to run straight vegetable oil in their automobiles, Elsbett of Germany. In the 1990s Bougainville conflict, islanders cut off from oil supplies due to a blockade used coconut oil to fuel their vehicles.[2]

 

Academic research into straight vegetable oil fell off sharply in the 1980s with falling petroleum prices and greater interest in biodiesel as an option that did not require extensive vehicle modification.

 

Bioliquids are usually made from virgin or used vegetable and seed oils, like palm or soya oil. These oils are burned in a power station to create heat, which can then be used to warm homes or boil water to make steam. This steam can then be used to drive a turbine to generate electricity.

The world should just come up with a legislation that vehicles' maximum highest allowed FC is 15km/L.

This would apply to all passenger vehicles less buses and heavy goods.

 

Force them to use less fuel and aggressively develop alternative power system.

H... will affect those with big cc luxury cars.

that's why I thought most bikes speedo should be overrated.. wonder whether they use laser or GPS to compare..

 

Btw, Sw-Motech has Quick-Lock Tankring and Evo Tankring. Which is easier to use?

I guess you are out of luck, most of us are on stock exhaust...Only a handful with after market end can....

Hi, just got a silverwing 400 last month, but just now went to changi north Vicom for bike inspection but fail the exhaust and the two small front light bulbs. The Leo Vince exhaust have ceft, but think that the previous owner dented the exhaust, so he welded a piece of stain steel to cover the dent and protect the exhaust. The inspection man said due to the welding the exhaust is consider tamper with, so need to change back to original exhaust. But the exhaust still with the previous owner and his oversea now. Also anyone have his hp number, I lost his number after changing to another phone. FBD9xx6R, his live at sim ming rd. ~40 old, alway go Jb, serviced bike at Ac Motor, ah Chong.

 

Can anyone kindly borrow me his original exhaust, will return after the inspection.

 

Have you checked with AC Motor whether he got spare at his work shop?
