Hi Guys,

Need some advise. My voltmeter when on ignition - 12v

Engine Started - 13.9v

On the move -13.9v to 14.1v (speed at 100 to 120 km/hr)

Is it normal? I looked at the sw tech forum, engine started is 13v +++, on the move above 14v. My main concern here is that the difference in voltage when idling and on the move is so little.

Mounted voltmeter isnt 100% accurate. It only serve as a rough guide of ur voltage. To get precise voltage, you will need a mutlimeter to measure it.

:cheer:

Glad to have u in my life : ) Always love one another!

Really must change my fork oil liao.

Front is vibrating all over the place when the road is rough.

No confidence over the traction in the front.

Which fork is closer To Honda's original weight and red in colour?

Not sure. I tried using 10wt oil (Cst 36) but still seems to have some stiction and slowness in the fork movement.

Will be testing 7.5wt (Cst 26) or even 5wt if it doesn't work.

engine start e voltage will be high cos its cold start and rpm is usually higher abit, once engine warm rpm will drop..

rpm high = voltage will be high as its charging..

ride for awhile and stop voltage shd read ard 13+-

as long as voltage dun go over 15v its safe, and dun drop to lower den 13 when riding..

Hey Guys..

some advice if u are using the electric 12v "gun" to remove the variator

(1) are you able to loosen and tighten the variator nut without using the Y-tool?

(2) is there suppose to be a foam or papper filter at the white cover?

(3) the groove at the variator survace are obvoius to touch already, is it time to change? Any estimate $$?

I cant remove the variator nut because it has been previously tighten by workshop air torque gun.

Used my DIy Y-tool to pry it until i lifted the bike :lol:IMG_20140209_134755.jpgIMG_20140209_134902.jpgIMG_20140209_135622.jpg

Yes

Yes, a foam filter. Can DIY.

If it's at the edge, sound be ok. Can use a fine sandpaper to smoothen it. Couple of hundreds to change. Scoobydoo knows.

The impact wrench will spin freely and engage the clutch only when it reach a certain rpm. Apply some air filter oil but don't over do it.

Usually I don't oil the filter as it only needed to stop big particles from messing with your belt and variators.

Must wash periodically to allow enough air flow to cool the transmission.

I use Red Sponge, cut to size. 1 piece can make 3, I think.

$105. There is another model at $118 but without the variable torque setting.

Autobac ubi, stock left one of each.

Okie dokie, will be careful tomorrow. Likely ride few days without oil see how first.

Tks will take note. Where do u purchase the sponge? If not too costly will keep changing after each service:p

Just want to share with folks who also may not have sponge

Prior to the discovery, the belt area gets dirty fast and my rpm usually after service will get 90km/h at 5k rpm.

In a month or so it will go to 5.5k rpm just to do 90km/h and after that even higher rpm.
