Hey guys! Due to very little response from this new thread. I would like to invite all of you guys to make some noise and check out if there are any events upcoming in our Singapore Tuas circuit. Most importantly this new thread will also serve as a place for all of us to talk about anything that relates to racing, techniques, brakings, taking a corner...etc etc.

The scooter scene is still very small in Tuas unlike the Yamaha cubs. So i would like to promote this new thread for some of you guys here whom always wanted to know more about scooter racing and also where and when to watch. The upcoming race will be on 1st of March and it's open category.

If you are interested, you can post some of your enquiries. Our guys here are very friendly and willingly to reply your post.

Your support will be much appreciated.

went to a vespa shop this noon, @bukit merah, just 50m after HKL.

i saw quite a lot of vespas outside, so i thgt it shld be an ok shop...

i saw quite a lot of vespas with side storage ie. the wheel on the left side is taken out.

but, mine is inside the left compartment.

can i actually, remove the spare wheel, and change the left panel to a lockable type?

Hello,

Just wanna know if anyone is using FF helmet on a classic Vespa? I have always used FF on my previous bikes but have never seen anyone using FF on a classic.

Curious how it looks... :)

diy is cool, can show some pix of urs =) mine's in my avatar

sharpey is using FF. it's a personal preference and safety issue la. I've slowly moved from half-cap to proper PSB appoved open face. Still not ready to embrace visors though.

But if u want to know how it looks like, on a vespa, do some google. The europeans seem to like FF on vespas :)

Machine K - tried googling but found mostly modern Vespas. The one I am getting is a Ah Pek Blue colour PX200E so wondering if full face looks funny. Ha ha. Safety is priority though. Just REALLY curious how it will look.

Hey Legan... if you are cool... you will look cool in a full face :p

deitrich... have a look on the wiki http://www.vesporeanfaq.wikispaces.com

there's a list of shops there... Plenty of PX150's around... Don't pay more than 2k for a second hand one (unless it's like really new or something)....

mind to share how u did it?

seems like a lot of work to me...

thinkin of welding a base to the left compartment to seal up the bottom. cut a rectangular hatch with hinge, and then attach a lock. of coz , not forgetting rubber gasket lining along the new hatch..

hey fooz... no need to diy your own side box... you can find them pre-made... But you will need to weld the bottom of your frame to match as you mention...
