Got my White Abs Max yesterday and must say that it is a refreshing change as I've ridden Italian scoots for a few years already now. Only manages to clock a measly 20 miles yesterday and it's been raining most of the time. Any Max bros living in Punggol/Sengkang area?

Just an update for everybody"s info:

 

Recently just clocked 12,000 miles and got the Tmax serviced but did not change the drive v-belt. Yesterday when the meter clocked 12501 miles, the v-belt icon inside the dash started to blink.

 

Bike still rides fine with enough power and have already overided the blinking v-belt icon. Will continue to ride as per normal until i feel the bike has no more torque then will replace the v-belt.

normally factory will suggest a belt change before the belt will actually snap to be safe. don't wait till you really feel something wrong than change it cause it may be too late. the damage when the belt snap can be unimaginable.

From what I know, when the belt of Piaggio scoots snap, it turns into tissue like material so that it causes no danger of locking up the wheels of the bike. Not too sure abt the Max's belt though. Its better to be safe than sorry anyways..

 

Also need to check if I intend to fix up a top case, will I need the original Yamaha rack? Thinking of getting Hepco top case for my Max..

That is why this old uncle so kiasu and kiasi .... 11.5k miles, change V-belt etc

i'm using that. Does not vibrate alot at 60mph, deflects the wind very well.... might be selling mine, pls PM me.... thanks

The original Piaggio belts were designed that way. One of my mates also crashed cos his belt snapped and the wheel locked. The guys at Piaggio found out that the previous owner had changed to an aftermarket belt.
