I think ric78 Tmax is another shipment after the dec batch. I check mine and it's manufacture in 2010. Maybe because his is the latest from the factory which explain why his colour label different

I just bought it 1 month ago. So not sure it's which batch

Seems like most of the tmax after 2010 got the blue label. So I'm the suay one who got the worst of the worst pump which does not even have a label.

 

ric78 did you know when is the shipment of your bike? Is it during Dec last year or after Feb this year. Cause the forum over at Italy claim that the brown version(which is what you have) was released from Yamaha around this year Feb to cover the, sometime faulty pump, from the blue version.

 

Guys I'm just trying to gather info to see how true the info is. So next time touch wood someone suay suay burn their motor, they'll know which one is a better replacement.

 

Anyway the guys over at HL did what they can as Yamaha did instruct or provide them with a firm solution.

 

They insulate the tank and

if you notice there's a plastic cover in the red arrow, they removed it to help air flow at the tank. Its a easy job to remove the cover, so guys may want to give it a try which may help a little. The only negative point is that some dirt and water may get in.

Mine is the brown type. My shipment arrive at late march this yr.

There's a few who replaced their faulty pump before. Can let me know the colour?

 

ACM still keep the faulty pump with him... next time i go then try to note down e colours...

Some changes will be going for 4D3N malacca trip due to some unforeseen circumstance. Tentatively will be 2nd July to 5th July 2011. Saturday to Tuesday.......

 

Who is keen to join the saturday leg one day ride?... JUst ride there eat dinner... enjoy chendol... back home on e same day...

I will be moving off at 11am...You guys who just wanna ride and join me later can call me when you reach there. Most likely I will be in the Malacca Mega Mall opposite of Makota Parade, I know of a place serves cheap and good food with air con......Can meet up at 5-6 pm then after dinner go jonker see look see look.....

i northeast biker now. staying serangoon, can head down to jalan kayu if got time.

or can organise prata session for tmax group for prata and head down to dam also can.
