Road tax is $140 per year. Insurance for me 32 years old is about $400++ with 20% NCD.. 20k servicing is about $400 for belt and rollers, $112 for engine oil and filter, spark plugs depends on what brand and type.. Probably your tires would have been worn out by 20k so another $380+ for Pirelli Diablo scooter.

That's for 20k....how about regular servicing? 5-6k interval would be OK

And the rollers, only at 20k interval? How bout the belting...

Pardon me, new tmax rider here

Posted

Belt and rollers at 20'000km.. Normal service interval is every 5000km. Don't worry the bike will remind you that it is due for an oil or vbelt change.

rien d'autre que le max.

I'm still not familiar with how the indicator will look like... It seems that now there is a small circular clock logo (like when u set alarm on your phone then it shows on the notification bar). Is that it?

Just get it, dun resist liao. Lolx

Otr u should check with hl for the latest pricing as Coe is a factor for the otr pricing. But should be ard 26k for abs model now as the Coe bidding is only $12 buck more. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Bro...can't resist ..not dont resist la.....lol

bro kaienish check with you, previously u were riding the nc700. how does that compare so far to the tmax ?

Well the NC has great fuel economy, average 30-32km/l (14l tank) ....not for those looking for bike with power though. Bike have alot of torque and mid range... But sacrificing top end. Maintenance also very cheap.

Compare with tmax, just used it for 1 week + only. Pick up I think with manual gears like the nc700 I could do it faster... But in terms of comfort and stability at high speed, tmax is better. Riding at 120kmh+ on tmax feels alot more stable than the NC, I guess due to the frame. NC more of a thinner bike, and for me at that speed it will be quite shaky... Whereas tmax has a pretty wide frame that pretty much covers the rider from windblast. Fuel economy can't say for sure yet, from the meter it shows 60mpg (25km/l) slightly lower than the NC.

thanks bro for the great comparison. I guess I made the right choice in choosing the tmax haha. interesting the fuel consumption so far looks good. from what I read abt the tmax I was expecting alot worse abt 19km/l.

Ya I was worried too as read alot saying fuel economy about 19-20kml....I'm so used to good FC with the NC, worry I might regret. But so far so good.

Maintenance for tmax though is the one I'm abit wary at this point....

for auto scooters the main thing that gives way is the belt. must be careful. The replacement quite pricey. But other then that, they are good

Bro ,

The mpg cannot be trusted one. Mine fluctuate from 52 to 58mpg , got some getting 70mpg .

But all after calculating is actually at 19-20km/l. If u constant on expressway u might get 21-22km/l .

Btw if u looking for great fc then Tmax not for u .

Actually I manual count also not just based on the meter, quite similar .. So okla, I guess I'm not too heavy on the throttle.

Do not get u on this.

What u mean by give way?? U meant Wear and tear ??

Belt is just like chain and spocket for manual bike. It will not give way unless u over tighten it or u never even check on it and keep riding.

Out of curiosity, where do you guys get the replacement for belting. Is there a regular shop that you guys go to that sells at better price.... Or just go to agent and get the parts. Some tell me go online and buy standby the parts.. If need to change then just bring the parts to shop of choice

Serious?? U getting 25km/l that is very good.

When reserve kick in at how many miles travelled?

Base on 25km/l your miles travelled should be ard 200-210 which is a lot .

Btw for auto score u will feel the pick up slower as compare to the manual bike is because of the lag before the gear is engaged where manual bike before u move off the gear is engaged. Auto scooter one is not so the engagement of the gear kick in after u throttle and only at rpm 2 or above depend on your set up

I didn't want till reserve, cause I don't know yet what indication the meter will show when reserve... Whether flashing bar or etc.

When it reach 1bar, plus minus la.... I pump

I'm using trip 1. So it will show u the miles travelled . When reserve kick in the trip will show 0mile and start from there so u know it in reserve and also the bar will be flashing . So hard to use till no petrol one.

Most rider here will go to AC. For me I prefer hassle free, go to shop and do/Pay then ride back.

This is for those regular thing like servicing items as too troublesome to buy keep them bring down but that is me as I know there ppl whom do that.

But upgrading mod I will do my own purchase then get it done up by shop.

Belt if you don't change , it will break. the tmax got two belts if I'm not wrong. The final drive belt and the vbelt. The vbelt like most scooters can't be seen and inspected for wear and tear and that is the problem. So change is by milage. if you don't change it and take the risk, the belt tend to give way at the most inconvenient moments.
