Maybe they have balanced stock from old production? I was told over the phone. If they no longer make it or no more stock, the person could have just say H&B dont make the rack for tmax liao right? Of course if u interested to know, u can make the call and ask them. I am just passing the message from what the person told me.

Bros,

My bike got some funny vibration at certain RPM, which result in noise from other parts of bike. Possible diagnosis are shaft bearings problem, clutch problems, cam chain tensioner, valves issue etc.

The problem is that because the exact cause is still not confirmed, feels like this is the kind of job that is time consuming (need to spend time diagnosing), and not all mechanics want to do it.

So far the two mechs who are recommended are botak and ah choong. However, I am wondering if I should just go back to Hong leong?

I know if Yamaha agent doesn't mean best... but My guess is Hong Leong at least will have all the correct yamaha tools / service manuals, so is easier for them to diagnose. My feeling is if I go back to a normal mechanic, they can do specific job very well (eg. change this, change that), but from experience, i may just end up going back again and again changing parts until problem is solved, which is quite inconvenient because I usually work long hours.

I don't mind paying a bit more for a good job + don't need to come back with same problem.

Any thoughts? thx bro.

If you are lucky it's a common issue and Ac or botak might know and u save money and time. If u have the time u might got to all three to get opinion and diagnosis first. This kind of vibration can be very tricky. Might just be a screw loose somewhere sometimes
