*As I understand it,

After run-in period,

Suzuki manual stated eo change at: 3500 miles.

That is equivalent to 5.6 km.

Usually, I change before 5 km.. (Play safe)

I use 300V.

Suzuki recommends 10W 40

Coolant: If I see, no signs or symptoms to a possible problem. I will change it every 2 years.

Spark Plugs (TWO is needed)

Can usually last quite long if you use Iridium.

You should use Standard range type. Not Hot or Cold plugs.

Changing spark plugs on Burgman 650 Exe is not difficult.

Just a little tedious because of the confine space to work; within the bodywork near radiator.

* Please be informed, I am not from the Motorcycle Industry. I am just an enthusiast to 'Bike & Car Engineering'. Not a 'Guru'.

Please use own discretion.

I loved my Burgman 650 Executive. I used it as an auxiliary runabout vehicle. Not my main vehicle.

Was hoping that the new 'Made in Japan':Class 2 Burgman would up the displacement to 800cc or more. Oh well...Meantime, I will just keep holding on to it. Been more than 5 years ownership to date. Can't find another reliable Japanese made, Class 2, high specifications, high cc scooter of this sort(Touring type with huge under-seat storage) as I will only fix my H/Becker box for short touring. Not in Singapore. Sigh'

Perhaps, one day we can meet up & discuss 'Offline'.

Yeah man.. i would like to learn more from your experience too... this is my first scooter.. loving it so far..

Transmission oil : 360ml of SAE 10W40 (same as chosen eo)

Tested & preferred (depends on application)

API SJ Motul 300V 10W 40, 15W 50, 7100 10w 40, Repsol 100% Synthetic 4T 10w 40 & Mobil 1 4T racing 10w 40.

Final Gear oil is 300 ml of 75w 90 (currently on Motul Motylgear)

Like all scooters, it is best not to full throttle & drag when at traffic lights when light is green.

it was too heavy for me to go work everyday. on retrospect, should have just kept her for that occasional ride to malaysia or weekend ride and get another smaller bike for work which i am doing now.

sigh.. you can always get the new 650... :thumb:

For me, the weight doesn't bother me that much.. from what i've read, there were changes to the transmission in the new 650 which results in less "drag". probably that's why its easier to push around... but still.. i'll need to be strategic when choosing a parking space..

For a while , the weight didnt bother me at all. but i am stickler of putting the burg on mainstand whever i park. i reason if the bulk of the wight is put on the tiny side stand, it may break one day hahahahha. i had to squeezed the burg during heavy jam to work. there was this incident that the rear wheel was like fishtailing during a heavy storm which now i thought because of the heavy rear especially with a big box.

Made a call to ASP yesterday wanting to enquire about booking a new burg but was told No Stock.

Was qouted about $23k plus minus without insurance and Coe.

U try calling Guanhoe? I got the BG an400 with the rack and box, so i do not know where to get the rack sorry
Oh ok thanks anyway bro..... heard guan hoe damn expensive to buy parts from. Maybe someone will answer where to buy the Burgman 400 rack and how much it costs. This thread soooo silent one meh?

BTW i think better u check engine oil after the bike has sit one whole nite on the ceter stand bro. That way u know all the oil already drop down to the oil pan below. I check it in the morning before riding once a week.
