anyone tried tubeless tyres with spoke rims? I mean replace the tube with gel.
Its not as simple as that. There might be a way though. In theory it should work. Have yet to try it on a motorbike.

I know what u're thinking. Hahaha. 16 inch tube on a 20 inch rim? Technically it's possible to use a smaller size tube to stretch over the rim and use sealant. But nobody's done it before coz nobody here's a weight weenie.

Can also use a larger tube. Everybody is a weight weenie hence why they want to use spooky rims and small sotong tyres. No top box at the back and not forgetting 415 chain and sprockets. They would rather lose the weight on their bike than to go lose weight themselves. All to just achieve better speed.

Hey guys, anyone here has any recommendations to any good quality yet reasonable priced raincoat? I'm not expecting good to the extent of Dainese or RS Taichi kind, as long as it is able to ward me off from getting wet under heavy downpour, that would be good enough. :)

YBR = Yamaha Brilliant Riding

So much for the meaning.

Never hear before. If u try den tell us ah. There are tubeless spoke rims but the rims are made totally different. Some things u can mod, some things u cannot mod. U cannot make an egg come out from a cow however u mod it.

Guru approved.

Sekali only. Not twice.

Hahaha.

i think it will be very unstable as the gel thickness will differ throughout the tire ....will cause unbearable vibrations and lack of control

I got mine at 219 for 20 odd dollars and it has kept me dry in the heaviest downpour for 4+ years.

My friend told me he went to KL with his RXZ. He's using spoke so I ask him whether got punctured then he said he using the gel w/o tube and he's using 17 inch spoke rims. Michelin tyres not sure of the size though but its quite big. I wonder if this gel works on smaller tyres.

Live the dream.

What brand is it? Got my Progrip for 40+ bucks last year. Has been good, but recently water seems to be sipping in even without any tear.

Agreed. How you store it and clean or dries it is also important.

All this while i've been putting it on the same way as always. And like always, i'll rinse it with clean water, let it dry under the sunlight and store it back in my top box after every use.

Is the arai one good? looks nice too!

Disease ah you boss. Change bike again!

Some people measure their adventures in miles or days. I prefer "lamp posts".

After reading it on a bigger screen I found your problem. Your raincoat have a set of lips and a mouth hence it has been sipping water. It must be quite thirsty.

Usually water seeps into raincoats.

You are paying for the printed Arai logo instead of the raincoat.

Even if it's still selling, bet the price is different now.

Since you are eager to try it, ask him where he got it done and do it. No point asking here and there and in the end, nothing's done.
