Haha. Yeah. It doesn't affect the bike performance actually.

Live to ride another day.

wanna ask you guys about something

i was travelling straight at serangoon ave 3 when this car turned out of the carpark (left side) and made a right turn. he didn't keep a lookout of me and his car front banged into my left side of my spark. me as well as my pillon was flung out of the bike. the incident just happnd outside a police station and therefore police officers came to my aid. the driver did not leave the scene (luckily). i was okay but my girlfriend was not she had to had her left leg casted for dunno how long. okay the problem is this now, can claim anot?

right now, i do not have the driver's and witnesses's contact number but the police all took down for me already. after a few minutes after the accident, both of us were admitted into the hospital (TTSH). my bike was still at the place sleeping in front of the car. i've made a police report after i was discharged from the hospital. so what's the plan now? how do i even make a claim and get back my spark? i'm going IDAC tmr and hopefully can claim that cb. but in this case confrim 100% win one but i only scared the bike repair fees, me and my gf medical fees only.

both of us got 5 days mc from the doctor. anyone can please please care to advise me what's the next step and the claims? THANK YOU ALL KIND SOUL OUT THAT AND HOPE MY GF RECOVER FAST FAST... sad sad suay day.....

I am very sorry to hear about tthe accident.

I suppose the TP investigation officer will give you a ring regarding the accident where you will be required to go down to the headquaters to give your statement. After which the IO will tell you that your bike is in the TP compund where they will give you a letter to claim back your bike.

After which there are 2 choices for you.

First choice will be that you take back your bike on your own and settle the repair before sumbitting all receipts for the claim process. Be warned that this is only for people with experience as self claiming will be quite complicated BUT the good thing is you get to keep all your claims.

Second choice will be the most mainstream choice where you get a bike shop to do the claims for you. They will appoint a lawyer to handle the claiming process while the bike shop will tow the bike back from the TP compund, do a surveyor report to access the damage of your bike and come out with a repair figure. Some shops allow you to take back your bike straight after repairs but some would require you to pay the repair fee first. Do take not that part of your insurance pay out would be pocketed by both the bike shop and the lawyer.

I suggest you get a good lawyer to help fight your case as theres a third party involved which is your gf. Remember to report to idac about your accident ASAP. The new insurance law is to report an accident within 24 hrs unless you are not able to i.e hospitalised. You can also ask IDAC for a list of approved workshops to send your bike to for repairs.

Hope it helps. Take care. =)

Most importantly, call up your insurance company ASAP.. if you think you can handle going up and down alot, then getting a personal lawyer is ok.. if not, i suggest you go to a trusted bike shop and tell them what happened and let them settle it for you.. what the hell man, now its 3 guys in here who got into accidents.. fukkin drivers, look down on cubs uh!!! hai ya...

hey. wish you and your gf a speedy recovery. :)

LOL! Projecting this bike was my inital plan but after being retrenched and with the bad economy, plan was given up.

Instead, aimming low. Just modifying this bike to perform well for the streets. =) Think i should be just going for the vixion 150cc big bore kit as a base.

Agreed on the yoshi pipe discussion. =) But i do believe some hardcore spark fanatic or spark fanatic would purchase the pipe at that hefty price tag. For now, what we can do is to use GPR or go paste a yoshi sticker on your end can to make yourself feel better. LOL.

150cc kit, looks like i'm going for it. Since i'm going for an overhual, no point changing it back to the original ones when the price difference isnt huge. =)

aha! once you convert to the 150cc kit, don't forget to share with us the details okay..

Haha, luckily at that point of time my market rate better, $50 a day. =) If you got work part time using your bike you can also claim "loss of income" but remember dont ever tell them you work full time despatch if you are cause it against the law to use a private cover insurance to work as a despatch.

Despatch riders premiums are higher thus if you use the normal private passenger use insurance, you are like cheating the insurance company and things will get complicated. That is what alot of despatch riders especially the young ones dont know off. Just a note, "Despatch riders, please ride safe, we are on the losing side of the insurance if you are using your own bike and insurance to work."

tank size roughly 4L or so. FC around 35-40km/l. EO usually depends, 1500km - 2500km. Oil filter and sparkplug every alternate EO change. Running in depends too, though most mechs suggest 800km-1000km.

individual bikes individual riders individual preference. hope this helps. anybody else care to share..?? :thumb:

All 4 stroke bikes have roughly the same timeline for maintenance.
Thanks for the info..Much appreciated..

Hi and good day to you all,

Any kind soul can advise on the cost for replacing cone bearing? i think mine already damaged. When i main stand and turn around the handle it is not smooth. It's like stuck in the middle of the turning.

Thanks in advance for your kind reply..
