Hey, I feel my bike throttle response feels abit smoother and reaction time from throttle twist to bike engine pull when changing gear is abit short. Slightly more powerful I guess. I'm cruising at Use to have to gently twist throttle or else, feel engine abit choke as it seems unable to cope with the demand on the throttle.... U guys know what I'm saying?... Think the heat wrap really helps.

Thinking of relocating my oiler drip tip over the chain before the sprocket. my tip don't seem to meet well with my sprocket. Can't see the shiny chain effect.

Please give me some some comments.

I think the heat wrap works.. and for the chain oiler, my tip is at its perfect position.. just that, when I pump once.. i dun see the oil flowing through the tube.. im still pumping it once and will monitor the situation...

Thought can install and forget.

Wonder if it will cause any problem if i adjust it to drip over the chain? More surface area to hit while chain is moving, but might have splashing to bike parts nearby or get blown backwards as bike is moving.

u need to adjust the tip...rotate the oiling tip by pushing ..right side of the rod..and pulling the tip towards you ..on the left..until the tip just touches the sprocket, make contact at a slight pressure..with time the tip wears of and it will be in a perfect orientation...the best position is the tip do not make contact with the sprocket..the gap between it and the sprocket is so small the lube will bidge it..thus oiling the sprocket..

ie there will be no wear after that...theorectically the tip will last forever..but environmental will take its toll many years of usage.

check on it..double dose to watch the lubing effect..

this dripping over the chain...will cause splatters of lube..

as the chain vibrakes...and moving...this is a moving target..

the lube dripping onto the chain most will be deflected by the moving chain..and you end up with a messy rear wheels and swing arm..

lubing the sprocket is the best currently.

dose more oil to see it flows...if u can see it flow it is too much oil already..

the best is dose..ride..park and no oil dripping.onto parking area....when you ride again..

most wont see it working as you are riding...dont worry once dose the lube will be deposited on to the sprocket...unless there is a leakage or chokage.

Once u get the correct position u won't need to touch already... Except for top up...

That day going to work after fixing my tube fell off and oil kept hitting me lol...

@ezzyoiler what are the dimensions of the tube? is it a standard size from DIY shop? I want to redo my kit and change the position of the 3 way splitter and the valve...

I think cheaper if u buy from those aquarium shops... And bring a small portion to show the shop people...

@sujak it'll be a good idea to spray my rims black again =) my rims paint are falling off =( ugly! and you mean the dash board area fairing? i today tried to DIY my side fairing, the part where it covers the battery and my underseat fairing. i used purple spray and gloss spray. total 3 pieces. one piece results is not bad, got shine. the other one i drop on newspaper, so cocked up mus redo. last piece i see it shine i happily spray more gloss in the end it dripped down, mus redo. zzzz.. not bad for first time. hha..

btw, sujak i have the same situation as you. i pump twice den the oil does not seem to be flowing too... is there anyway to stop the oil from splashing? coz my chromed mainstand is now full of oil...

@BerNadlim mayb i should ride some more time and try to feel the changes the heat wrap gives

The oil could be from the slider... During the DIY I pumped alot... So the oil from the chain spread to the slider... When the slider got too much oil, it drips off... And it's black dirty oil...

Use the control valve to limit the flow rate of the oil or simply dun pump too much too fast...

i encounter that too.. black n dirty oil flowing down my front sprocket.. perhaps one of the weekend, Im gonna open up my sprocket casing and the chain guard and use petrol to clean of the excess dirth and grim...

Fabian, my mainstand also very oily.. i guess it must be from the chain guard or the front sprocket, will let you know the result after cleaning my front sprocket..

As for now, I do not open the valve fully.. i only open it about 1/4.. i think its like 1 drop per minute..

Posted

Yeah too much lube ..this is xpectrd as the intial oil dosage i to test the oiler. Rrduce to pump once only ..or ride without lubing..until the dirty oil cease dripping...and the control the dosage.

X1 uses very ltlle oil..one stroke good for the next 15 km easily.

@ezzyoiler ok, mayb i should try to ride w/o opening the valve and let all the oil finish flowing first. after that everytime i ride i jus pump once. mayb it's a good idea...

@sujak is it hard to remove the chainguard? nv removed it before might want to try one of these days...

chainguard is easy.. but the cover for the front sprocket is difficult.. need to use impact screw driver.. I tried to open it once and broke the connection to the engine.. therefore i just use some brackets to secure it.. hehehe...

Posted

Ok maybe I can try to remove and clean my chainguard first then... Still thinking of getting new or 2nd hand rear box... Um...
