Both also got. Idling for like 45secs when cold start and it just die. Sometimes if never warm up long enough, turn out carpark bike will die when I stopping with gear put to neutral.

Hm... not very sure liao. Mine after washing, engine cold den abit water go into engine then will die when idling and like no power when opening throttle den will die off. And my x1, when i jus start engine cannot full throttle straight away, confirm die off, mus wait engine hot first. Recently I just changed to smaller sprocket, this happens too, when i engage gear 1 and throttle engine will die, think small gear not enough power, mus wait engine hotter den no problem already. Or maybe your idlng low?

happened to me everytime too.. but normally wld just pul the choke and ride.. funny thing is with the choke on the engine will run smoothly and wont die of overflowing petrol...

@sujak i like the idea of going up north to service bike and maybe can see some accersories, should be cheaper man =)

@Fiso @sujak @f / x my bike recently also have more frequent backfire compare to last time, what happen man? anyone help?

@f/ x DIY is for some experience and fun of it. Rims got alot contact with sand and particle self-spray quite hard in my opinion. my rims i just want some colour lol, so i nv go clean alot or remove previous paint before spraying over, not very nice la. but i got spray my side fairing before, not bad, must sand alot, paint and laquer,

anyone of you here using racing footrest? how is it? and i just changed to smaller sprocket 15 - 36. My old chain got abit rust and sprocket some teeth broken.

ok good to know im not the only one experiencing it

did u spend on a good set of race footrest, chain & sprocket?

the backfire doesnt bother me, not that much of an issue as long our engine is "lean & mean".. lol

im in the midst of doing my rim.. pls give some suggestions, all comments are welcome

Breakfast not sahur bro.. was thinking of doing such trips after the fasting month... a day trip.. I like your suggestion bro.. going thru trunk roads.. maybe we start small first..

come to think of it, 100km is not that far. Its a matter of endurance... we can stop at ard 50km (same distance from Pasir Ris to Tuas) for abt 15 min and continue to machap for meals.. den back again on our adventure trip..

we can also go to desaru via the SDN highway (which i hv yet to explore) or mersing.. or just kopi and breakfast at JB town then go bikeshop for normal servicing (theres this bike shop near my JB house at Taman Austin recommended by bro SLAPShot.. he said wash carb for $5 only and the shop managed to cure its backfire after numerous failed attempts by our SG mechs...)

Just kopi & Taman Austin wash carb/service bike ride sounds good to me..

Ok I know the rim is not that nice but what u guys think? :=)

Im trying to learn diy wheel, just removed paint at centre part..

should I make it all bare(like metal finish) nicer? or paint the whole rim?

or leave centre piece bare metal & pain the black area to white(or other color)?

erm... my rims i nv changed i think my rims quite ugly that's why i spray it. Wah, you know how to remove and put back your rims ah. good leh liddat. can spray nicely leh, i nv remove it, i just wrap with newspaper so not so nice =( ur rims ok wad nice wad. depends ur bike wad colour den u choose colour for ur rims lo.

i still tinking of whether to change to racing footrest or not. the chain is change is a smaller then stock racing chain and sprocket(gold colour one), so far i can feel lose in torque but when i start to cruise i can feel the smoothness, i believe smaller sprocket also has lesser stress on engine and more fuel efficient?

anyway i don have pics of my rims but it's the top left hand side of the pic i uploaded.

Hi bros,

Just want to check if anyone of you have problems starting up your bike or bike takes long time to "warm up"?

My X1 will have this issue when switch off for more half a day. Usually I will start engine and let it idle until warm up. Most of the time can hear idling like going to die. And sometimes let it idle a while it will die also. So end up must kickstart again.

Change spark plug like no difference. I am using fully synthetic castrol eo. I got turn the idling screw around half turn to increase idling and it helps a bit but after a while can feel like fuel overflow.

Anyone experience similar issue before? It's not a major issue but I going to pass my bike to a relative so hope to solve it first.

Btw bike is about 6years old.

mine is around 6 years old too.. but i bought it 2nd hand.. n yes i have tis problem as well. but i will jus wait awhile den half clutch go liao.. den after a while ok liao.. if pretty serious i wil jus on my "chok"..
