Just now while riding, my meter says 80km/hr but a Honda Wave R125 overtook me with ease... so I am wondering maybe the meter is off. Maybe I was only doing 65km/hr.

Anyone here clocked your speed with a digital or with another higher cc bike before? How off is the X-1 meter?

Cos I was thinking if speedo is off, ordometer should also be inaccurate... meaning maybe it says I travelled 25km but actually only 23-4km??

Hi Sk I, i tried comparing it with my gps.. When travelling at 100km/h, GPS speed is like 85km/h only..

I usually travel with a speed of 80-90km/h.. (GPS speed is roughly ard 70km/h)

No point going beyond 100km/h.. engine tends to vibrate like theres no tomorrow..

I tried 90+ on the meter today and did feel some mild vibrations. Did anyone here ride till your X-1 go piston jam before?

ya talkin about vibration is there anyway to solve ? travel until leg numb and I wonderin those Malaysia lagenda haf the same problem ?? since a lot say same engine

Not really sure, I just ride below 90km/hr on the meter most of the time (which should be nearer to up to 78km/hr I suppose..)

I think you can put balancers or increase padding on the seat or some sort. 111c only... don't torture the bike lah

mind me asking, my bike tends to slow down when i riding up slope. like seriously slow down alot. like im doing 90 when it hits the slope it will be very very heavy and go slow as 65 - 70 km/hr . changed the EO aready leh.. issit the clutch plate that's bringing it down?

You might want to check with your rear brake. Yesterday, i was tightening my rear brake drum and felt it was quite heavy. I did 90km/h and hit a slope. It dropped to about 60. Then i loosened the brake a lil and now it feels like normal. It also depends on which slope.

 

The benjamin sheares bridge (from arab street to go ecp/kpe) will dropped your speed like crazy coz the slope is very steep...

sad.. my x-1 kena top overhaul. riding 100km/hr jurong to SIM. idle the bike then suddenly the bike died, and got burning smell. White smoke come out from the pipe when i try to start it again. Mechanic say ' minyak da sampai ke atas ' means the oil overflowing aready. idk what that means, but i got quote to get it repaired would be $250 - $300. sad just got the bike 1 month ago.

i did top overhaul for $130.. ask the mech how much he charged for labour and say that u will buy the parts yourself.. labour should be about $30 to $50..

 

I bought new block, piston, piston ring and gasket about $90-$100... Got it from United Trading Impex..

 

 

Dun worry so much coz after the top overhaul, your bike will not have any more problem until end of COE.. Good investment..
