New piston, new original block head, new valve plus man power is around $480. 4stroke is expensive. Take good care of the engine by not over rev it. Cruise 80kmh is acceptable for x1.

Oh found out that it was a cracked header that caused above mentioned issue. Thanks anyway.

Guys, don't be lazy and be fooled by those bike shops. If you want to overhaul, you need to decide whether u wanna do top or full overhaul. Get the parts yourself and pay for labour only. I would recommend buying from United Impex along Roswell rd. Then go to bikewerks or planet to get it fix

I bought original block, piston, piston ring and gaskets for $90 and labour $40.. 2years and bike still going strong..

After 3 years, bike died along TPE. Attempts to revive it failed. Decided to send to the nearest workshop and was quoted $80 for labour in overhauling my bike again. I'm doing top overhaul only. These are the breakdowns..

- $80 Labour (Pasir Ris SPC... not recommended coz labour is very high.. )

- clean and serviced carb

- valve clearance

- grind off carbon buildup in combustion chamber

- Rebore my stock original block from Size 1 to Size 1.25 ( $12, done at Perak Rd)

- Bought New Piston and Piston Rings ( not original, but aftermarket one from Japan ) $26

- Bought overhaul gasket and seals ($12)

- Bought Exhaust and Intake Bars ($24.... in the combustion chamber)

Total damage is about $150...

Parts bought from United Motors Impex at Rowell Road.
