Has been enjoying my DT the last few days and finally getting a hang of it. Surprisingly quiet for a small engine and quite good pick up at traffic lights. Luckily quite heavy as it helps in cross wind situation especially riding in places like coastal road.

I was thinking to get either downtown 200i or 300i.. Could any brother kindly advise? My usage is just travel from home to office (70KM per day). I also visit JB once awhile for shopping..

Hi, like to check... I enquired at the shop about the box, and the sales person said metal bracket not included in the price (quote $250). Saw the installation was directly on the two holes, plus two more clamps at the back left & right. Just wondering if the metal plate shld be included (in the price)and if without, is it a concern for long term usage? Thanks to any kind dudes to share his/her thoughts...

The scoot comes with basic normal box base plate from what I know (a year ago ).

 

The aluminum short base plate have to purchase separately. No more using the short aluminum plate from what i heard.

Now only comes in longer plate form with the option to add a back rest.

 

You must check if it comes separately or as a set with the back rest. Should be slightly cheaper if comes as a whole set, i think.

 

Old/previous type (Cannot add back rest) Box got back rest anyway if it comes with one.

Which model are you comparing?

 

If you are comparing Downtown 200 and 300 then the only difference is the cc which we can't tell just from the outlook. Everything is the same except maybe the newer 300 have the hazard light switch. The older 300 don't have a hazard light switch. In other words, can't tell

When the fuel tank indicator blink, how much it can travel before top-up? My fuel tank always blink when it hit 2 bar instead of 1 bar, any problem?

Hi guys... just wanna share a lobang.... I wanted to make a duplicate key for my xciting and realised that it wasn't so easy to find someone who could do it.. I finally managed to get one done. The shop or rather stall is outside Sim lim tower the auntie charges 3 bucks.. if cannot open then no charge.. hope this have been of help to your guys.

When the fuel light come on, you are left with only 0.5Liters of fuel.

I only hope they can do some scooter in the class 2 which is not toooooooo heavy. Kymco myroad is way too heavy and underpowered. Why cant they continue their 500cc? Xciting. Oh. Hope they dont have much problems like other brands. Thats my christmas wish
