Ya. Selling off. Mileage is 21000. Its 9 months old. Opps! My one and only transport bike! Plus very good for touring too! Hehehehe!!

I seldo ride myself too....my DT300i is only 13000km after 18 months. And that's after 3 tours, once to Hatyai....haha...

Suddenly feel like getting back a Class 2 bike. But worried that it is simply more tedious to ride in Singapore. The 300i is really a nimble little fella

Used to do this type of engine mod on my kup chai. No doubt the feeling of performance is overwhelming. When its time for repair n maintainence, its overwhelming on the wallet too. Morale of the story. Wan more performance, go for bigger cc.

Hi,

I would like to buy DT200i. But in actual I prefer DT300i because of higher horsepower. This is because my current license is class2b. Plan to take class 2a later. I have a couple of questions here:

1) can I upgrade the engine from 200 cc to 300cc or higher later?

2) I heard that by changing the bore u will get higher cc? Can it be done on DT200i? How much it will cost? And where to get the part parts?

Thanks

When do you plan to get your 2A license?? Cos the DT200i is about $1k cheaper than the DT300i.... =( Very expensive 2B scoot....

Hey all.

I have juddering/ vibrating issues [much like throwing the clutch] when my DT125i hits around 4,000rpm ever since I started pillioning. What is causing this? I have a feeling it's the clutch problem cos I can feel the drag on the rear wheel.

I'm getting 31.6km/L ever since I started pillioning! The fastest speed I went was 90kph and it's mainly in stop-start traffic during the peak hours and between traffic lights. Am quite amazed! I usually get 29km/L, but that's without a pillion and mostly expressway riding.

hello...

i need help from u guys since kymco dah lama menapak in spore...

i m waiDEE from KL..kymco msia has brought up Downtown 200i since Jan2012..i m the 2nd owner registered out of currently 6 only... my mileage is about 13500km++

currently i m facing a problem...

Engine light appear with faulty code '01' & '10' after switch ON bfore engine start...taking 2-3sec & dissappear...

still dont know what cause this & what consequences...

the situation now is...after switch ON..start the engine with RPM 1500-1700..no problem... but after moving about 100m & i release the throttle..RPM low to 1300-1500..engine mati... Then a bit hard when try to restart... need to switch off quit sometimes then ON again & restart baru ok... After long run & stop at traffic lite..it is ok & no problem anymore...it is just at the startup time...

Hi waiDEE. I suppose your DT200i is 205cc right??

I also get code '01' & '10' when I start up my scoot. But having looked through the manual, it seems that it's normal. It's just an update to the rider whenever the engine is started. There's nothing to be alarmed or concerned.

When I first got my scoot, I also have the same problems as you - Engine start, then after a few seconds, it died and when move off after engine start, the scoot stall. But it only happened once to me for each occasion. You may want to monitor the scoot. If it happens again, then send back to the workshop to check out the fuel pump/ spark plug/ variator/ clutch. =D

TQ bro for replied...yes mine is 205cc

but i only managed to get top speed 130kmh @ 8500rpm...full throttle

regarding to my problem...i thought it might be because unbalanced mix of air & fuel...this happened at least once in a day...

but this scoot is injection, so i don't know how to adjust that...yes will send to authorized workshop...

also yet never change the spark plug, air filter and etc...

one more thing...do you know about throttle body...how to reset or adjust throttle body? this also might be one of the reason...i think lar...

anyone...just want to ask how much head & block 300i? thinking of upgrading the spare part...

Hi bro,

you gotta understand that the engines have been restricted to reduce the CO2 emissions that Kymco has to meet in order to export their products.

From what I hear from the boss selling Kymco here, he said that my Downtown 125i tops speed is 135kph. But that probably happens at 12,000rpm. You notice our scoot no redline?? The rev counter ends at 10,000rpm. So my actual top speed full throttle is 120kph.

By right, your DT200i 205cc should top 145kph easily. But because of the restriction, 130kph lor. Singapore's DT200i is a special stepped down 199.8cc to be under the license bracket.

DT300i top should be 165kph, but restricted to 140kph.

Suffice to say, the higher the top speed, the more the scoot will drink luh. Anyways, in a city setting, we hardly can go above 120kph here locally. Haha.

Just curious, how much did you buy your DT200i for in your local currency Rm???

yezza...

that is why...haha...

i need just a little bit extra speed... i daily commute about 40km one way from Subang Jaya to KL city centre...off course in the city average speed is 60-80kph due highly traffic jam...but beside that i can fully utilize my DT up to full throttle..130kph is good for travel intercity but knowing this is my max speed & full throttle..it will harm my DT in short period & there is no chance for me to avoid any obstacle on the road by increase speed...i only can hold a brake...huhuhu

btw our kymco dealer tag DT200i for RM15.8k with insurance...& they just brought DT200i to cater riders in B2 license...may be hard to sell DT300i because riders need to upgrade their license...

i heard diff between DT200i and DT300i in spore S$1000...rite? in US is about USD600... that's why i planned to upgrade block to 300 because i was informed that everything are shared except diff in bore n stroke...

Yup. The DT200i is above S$10k with insurance, while DT300i is S$11.5k thereabouts.

And yup, I suppose the diff between DT200i and DT300i is the engine block luh.

RM15.8k much more expensive than SYM VTS200 right??? Haha. Kymco also more ex than SYM here.

yes a bit expensive...because of i after 200 hahaha...

but good quality & very reliable product...the price we have to pay...

but in msia..the 1st brand enter the market & success with good service will get people' trust... then they hard to accept other brands although internationally KYMCO far better than Sym... and somehow kymco msia dealership & management not so strong enough in marketing & after sales...huhuhu

DT200i win in appearance & design but in technical performance lose to VTS/GTS200...huhuhu :-(

Welcome waiDEE, sorry for the late reply. Anyhow you may like to check out this online workshop manual for your 200 scoot.

Haha. That's interesting.

Sadly, we don't get cold weather here. The lowest it goes is 24 degrees.

@ Doremi - So after 9mths of riding the MyRoad, what is your honest opinion on this bike?

I'm currently riding a Kymco GD 250 and have been having my eye on the MyRoad.

I use to ride class 2 machines but age is catching up and so have gotten spoilt by the twist and go technology ever so readily available plus loads of space for grocery shopping and that odd tour up north.

Now the itch has returned to go class 2...

Don't tell God you have a big problem. Tell the problem you have a big God!
