Sanding- only the pads thats it....nothing else!!

Yes... it work. The brake pads sat in.

After tried for 2 days, rear brake has better braking power than front brake.

Hi mctan,

So the total cost is $60 X 3pairs =$180/- but I tell you it worth the amount you've paid...you can feel the difference in braking power and distance is shorter provided using a good pair of tyres...he,he,hee!!

Your bike have ever changed into steel braided hoses you can jam/emergency brake!!! just using the two fingers...and the best part you can feel the amount of pressure is applied to the brake calipers (feeling the feedback) :thumb:

Do they(bikelabs) have stocks?

They dun have stock, but they could get it within an hour.

What I did was, order from them in the late morning, afternoon go and change.

My bike is using BT020 tyres. stock brake hose.

I find that its time for me to change the front rotor, becos I find that the rotor abit warb. When I roll the wheel, certain part of rotor will rub with the pad.

And one side is thinner than another side by about 0.5mm.

Talking about bikelab...how did u manage to ride your bike into the shop? Thru the playground? The pavement in front of the shop is so damn small and traffic is so heavy along serangoon road. Sometimes wanna go there change pads also but so pai say whenever I think of the need to pull off such stance in view of passing vehicles. *Blush*

u will face the same problem even u had change the disc.

The root cause is the design of brake hose which result in uneven force acting on both rotor.

When u change the front pads, u will notice tat one side wear more than the other hence explain uneven wear of the rotor.

U can check out TP design vs ours orginal.

Most of us had change something simliar to TP design to solve this problem at the same time have a better grip.

Below are the options and $ if have:

1. TP rubber type; HL; abt $280 as per last time heard over conversation(maybe wrong).

2. Stainless steel; Motorworld/Everbright; $180-$200 forget liao

3. Hel stainless steel; VectorOne; abt $220

Stainless steel is better coz it gives better griping power and provide lifetime warrenty.

Most of us go for second option.

Oxygen goes for 3rd option as far as I know.

Check pervious thread for more confirm in price.

2nd option:

1. Made in Japan

2. Per-cut so it is a bit long for our bike.

3. Ready stock

3rd option:

1. Made in UK

2. custom to our bike length

3. Have to wait for stock to arrive(check out threads related to HEL brake hose).

Hope these helps.

mctan, totally different shops.....

MW is located at Kaki Bukit, whereas EB is located at Eunos.

MW's brake hose brand = SWAGE.

:offtopic: , the steel brake hose reminds me of the 80s ah beng motor siao riding RD or 'old K', they used to wrap their rubber brake hoses with pumbling silver tubing... I think senior men here can still remember that, kekeke... :cheeky:

Happy Shopping!!

I jus went down to MW to change my rear brake hose to Plot Swage at S$80 (inclusive workmanship and GST). Feel more confident of the rear braking now. Highly recommended. :cheer:
