I was not surprised...when I look at the jacket design it only can help in the light drizzles, but that is not the main objective about this jacket - it provides you an average protection from abrasions and impact...

I was happy that you people get hold of this jackets'...If you still think it is warm to use in local rides(singapore streets), get those jacket from chong aik 'easy rider' cost about $150/- you can try to bargain down to $140/- those are good for local rides pleanty of ventilations...Sometime you wonder why get/buy 2 or 3 jackets~ 1 you can send for laundry whilst the second piece you can use...

Shall we meetup for a DIVERSION CHINESE NEW YEAR GATHERING?

I figure that most of us have reunion dinner around this time, so can i suggest the time to be at 11pm?

 

We shall all meet at Kallang KFC?

 

Please give me any other suggestions on the timing or place if you have?

Hi Yappiez,

Even thou "if it had a second layer" to prevent water from sipped in~ it will be soaky in between layers feel uncomfortable and smells too.

If you are very serious to get a touring jacket $pent abit more($350-$450)...touring jackets comes with pocket ventilation (using zippers), for that jacket being warm is definite...waterproof 'yes' 100%.

actually no need to spent that much. my frux jacket was waterproof the last time all the way to genting with you guys. only $150...

this yamaha one i just buy cos got big big logo everywhere then people know what bike i riding... :sweat:

Yes, I know what you mean but the quality wise... :confused: is always a question . As most top name jacket comes with paddings that have been test ...The materials(textile) for their ruggedness, fittings and lasting...last not least styloh too.

 

I have a low end jacket for local use I know their quality...If you drop from the bike(touchwood) it hurts. :weep: but better then the wind breaker where some clowns use...

 

Maybe it is me!!! paying abit more for a better quality because it involves me, I not bother much about the machine I'm riding... o_O

tried the water proof liner from my other jacket & it zip into my custom/yamaha jacket like it is mean for each other :lovestruck: but...but the liner is from another jacket of normal length but the custom/yamaha jacket's cutting is kinda short so i had ~6" of excess on the end :sweat:

Yesterday we don't have much chance to talk as you are more engaged with uncle Custom..

You can modify one side of your headlamp into HID which is very usefull, if you are travelling up to Malaysia-> and the other side leave it as OEM headlight for local use.

 

Check at 'Limbattery' along moonstone lane...after mah pte along upp serangoon rd just before the PIE slip rd(jln toa payoh).

 

We "diversion Riders Group" have no objection 'people meeting us'...during meetups :-) regardless what bike they ride...:smile:

HID considering only, might or might not need it as my original headlights are already very bright. This the thread i'm studying closely now. Diy HID

 

This is the GPS i found from the website. The new model looks good, can add in mini SD card to increase memory, unlike older model built-in only 56mb

Garmin GPSMAP 60Cx

 

But i still would like to have a look at Mr Jleo unit b4 i invest in it as i believe it should be quite costly :smile:
