Welcome to the group.

Great to see more diversion rider here.

We do not have a fixed regular meet up session, if you feel like to have a meet up, just post and jio.....

We do have two organisers here, custom is our 2020 or 4040 organiser and jleo/bb is our touring trip organiser....

I think the up coming touring trip would be Cameron Highland on Sep... hope to see more diversions in this trip......

Guys,

I went to Biketech21 juz nw and the saleman advised me to get the powerbronze w/shield which cost ard S$130 (aditional of S$10 for colour tinted wan) its higher than the original shield and lower than Skidmarx. But however, he ask me to log on to http://www.powerbronze.co.uk and ask for the exact height and width.

As for the front headlight protector is S$48(tinted) which he say that it is a price of a clear wan..

Q1) Anyone had fix this front headlight protector? How much does it cost?

Q2) Anyone had use this Powerbronze w/shield? Any advise?

I also ask him on goodrich brakehose which cost S$195 for 2front and 1rear (without installation)

If we were to MassOrder must at least 5sets & above and he would be able to reduce the price for S$170+ However, i forget to ask on the lenght of the brakehose..

Biketech21 offer me skidmarx w/shield for S$145 and need to order... but he say that the shield is super flip-up. Isit the same as u guys using? I'm afraid that its too high and will block my view. As for eagle w/shield i find it "leceh" coz need to order thru net and use credit card.. So thinking of getting either Skidmarx or Powerbronze w/shield next month..

Hi Heyrul^7,

A word of precaution- higher screen can be hot, the wind/air is pushed away over your helmet 'arai or shoei' with so many holes have 'no effect' (same goes to riding jacket) -most of the sreen is not 100% perfect from the moulding, there are some distortions if you see through it- if you can get used to it, it is ok... if not~ it going to be :giddy: seeing through that screen...

Try to get the screen slightly lower then skidmarx or e.g:- you should be able to see the road over the screen...about 2 to 3 car lengths infront of you... the wind/air that goes over the screen but just nice to flow around your helmet- where your helmet air intake/vents can make full use of it functions...keeping your head cool.

It is best for you to sit on, some of our bikes- this way you can dicide which suits you the best...thats the reason why we must meet up so most of your question is answered...and by looking at indivdual bikes you know what excately you want or you like to do...

Try to spent some time and cash on riding gears 1st. As for cosmatic, do it later.

If you want to improve on handling and control go ahead cutomize to your need.

Hi Heyrul^77,

I am interested in the headlight protector (clear type). Can you check for me the detail if you are making another trip to biketech.

1. What is the actual price for (clear type), not tinted.

2. How long do I have to wait for the stock to be in? Or they have stock on hand.

come to the windshield.

Skidmarx windshield is the super flip-up type, Rikk, swift, bats, my bike is using.

For me I am 1.7m short, ride with TP handle bar and sit up right, 3/4 of my head is above the screen.

The best is like what SG had mention, try out then decise which one to buy.

Here is a pic of d various screens, from left onwards Skidmarx super-flip, MRA & OEM. either of these screen has its owe advantages

i am 1.73m, now i am using eagle super high screen, the wind just blast away from my face. i feel that i am enjoying more on my ride then before. cos there r less wind noise, i can speak n hear clearly from my pillion, i can pull up my helmet visor more often not too worry about dust n stony particles bulleting straight for my ugly potted face & i can listen to my MP3 earphone even more clearly on the ride.

During the ride i do not look through the screen but look over it w/o problem at all. anyway when we ride, we always look ahead n far away, like-wise even during heavy traffic jam, i have also no problem look through the screen.

As for high speed ride, BTW, how many time will u blast past 200km/hr n will u hold on to this speed for how long before the screen nuts n bolts will fly along with the wind? Not forgetting u ride on S'pore road more often then u travel on NSH.

This is my opinion & through my preference i would recommend a Skidmarx or Eagle. others like Er-Max, MRA or GIVI make the ride n bike towards a more low profile. I would suggest u buy a brand new one then a second hand. Anyway the decision is yours.!

cheers

sorry to any of u guys who r using d lower screen.

i do understand my preferences may not be to other liking. no offence.

here is a pic of my eagle screen.

no problem kevin, there r some guys tat prefer let more air goes into his head.

I've 2 bikes, one is Divvy n a scooter.

my scooter comes with a tall wind shield which i find it very hot during riding under the hot sun, whereas Divvy is cooler as there are air rushing into my helmet.

Only duck behind the wind screen when

1. raining

2. high speed and feel tat the air is too much for my head to hold it.. :cheeky:

tat's y they must try till to their own perferance.

btw, Heyrul is abit short... should be around 160+
