Guys,

You all experience any water leakage from ur gear shaft?

I went to change my gear oil yesterday and surprised that the oil come out is in milky colour. Shop say that water slip in and need to change the oil seal in the gear oil. Can this effect any part of the gear in future? I had not change the seal yet coz wanna monitor it first, maybe after 100km will change the oil again and see wat color come out...

If it can effect the gear badly than will change it immediately.

Any advise?

Hi Heyrull,

This indicate that there is a leak through the rubber seal. Up-to-date, I don't think anyone ever brought this matter you are the first bugger to do so.

My advise is; water and oil don't mix. The end reasult always you spend more and more if you were to delay it longer ~ the best thing for you now is to: Replace the oil seal soon.

The shaft oil- lubricates, prevent rust, transfer heat away from the gears, remove small chips, oil act as a cushion inbetween the gears and thus reducing wear and tear to the very minimum.

Water interfere with the above process.

Mctan,

Hi Heyrul,

Yes, you can DIY. If only the shaft gear oil and the gasket Item no. 27, part no. 214-11198-01 on the 2xbolts. It takes you the most 15mins.

If the bikeshop charge $80 for this kind of simple job, think twice.

But, if $80 is to change all the seals inside and on the rear axle gear case assembly. Please let bike shop do it.

Does the jerked happened every time you changed 1st gear to 2nd gear at 6k rpm? or only once? Once in a while it may happened due to the way we close the throttle & shifting of gear. I dont hink is a big deal if you ride your bike normally & decently. This bike is not a dragster or sportbike so why you dragged to 6k? Do you think is due to your clutch plates? I feel that you should not spend too much time & money to worry over this! If you send your bike to check the mechanic sure tell you ....................money just spend unneccessary.

If you r the one that ride aggressively i would suggest you change to a high performance bike. If you ride this bike decently you can safe a hell lots of money.

Kelvin ,

THANKS for the info ....

hehe :cheeky: me "sua gu" , dont know that is a Overdrive at 6k RPM ....

causing engine jerking at 1st Gear to 2st Gear ....

been trying at higher gear and hit above 6k RPM , no problem .....

ME SUPER "SUA GU " .....is just me thinking like a Sportsbike and race it ..ha ha :cheeky:

Dont Think ... FEEL the Wind ,Safety is always the first !

Hmmm...great! At least there's a ride together.

I'll join for top-up at GP if my fuel runs low by Fri okie.

But I'll turn up for the meetup at KTM.

Am I still welcomed? :cheeky:
