How is your braking on the bike? Suspension is soft,so dun be surprised when braking hard on the front.Brakes play a crucial part, please go back to Looi's if you encounter any problems with the brakes.

Lastly, look out for oil leakage on your fork.It may look nice when buying the bike untill you notice some dicharge on the fork seal after some time and doing hard braking.

Safe rides!

You may want to ask McTan or Swift regarding the brake disc, they have changed em before. The last time I did ask for a pair of brake disc at AM,yes you are right...unfortunately they only has 1. Price wise-about there also..

hi blackangel,

Thanks for the tip.

At this moment, the brake is good and suspension is hard whenever the bike go over humps.

2 things i need to check with Looi's motor are :

carb tuning

ignition key

Bro Bats told me that when my engine is in idle mode, the RPM is at 1000. It should be around 500. I notice that the bike fuel consumption is also quite high. It could be due to my previous ridng lifestyle of riding Super 4, maybe. From full tank to 1/4, i had done around 170km. Isn't it quite high?

As for the ignition key, i am having difficulty in turning the key to unlock when in handle lock mode.

Other than that, the bike is in good condition.

cold start should be at 500 rpm

when the engine is hot, it should be abt 950 to 1050 rpm.

for the ign switch, spray abit of WD40 should help.

Else pull out the key and reinsert it to try again.

Full tank to 1/4 should get u abt 170 miles...

Bro Custom,

I had sprayed in WD40 but with the same results for the key ignition.

As for the full tank, is it miles or km? I do not manage to see any label indicating the distance on the speedometer.

If it is in km, then something is wrong.

Hi all guys,

Long time never surf forum, quite happening...

Salim, welcome on board.

Your bike meter is the same as the rest, in miles.

The white digit is mile and the orange is KM.

Your front brake caliper is using Nissin brake caliper which is used by Honda, different from the rest of us, so your front brake pads are different from the rest.

If I am not wrong, the front brake hose has also changed to parallel.

Why I know so much about your bike, because I saw it at Looi's and "molest" it before..

Heyrul,

You are right, I have a set of diversion small(standard) side panniers. But this set of panniers will follow the bike if I sell my bike.

Kevin,

You may try MAH parts for front brake disc. Their price is quite competitive with AM or AC, but need some " power of bargain"

Ignition key problem when you are going to unlock the handlebar or when switching from "off" to "on" ?

As what Bats teaches me..... to switch on your engine easily, press the key down(inwards towards you) and turn it from "off" to "on" position. Then,to unlock or lock your handlebar, shake your handlebar a bit from side to side and at the same time turn your key.(hole didn't meet the locking rod)

I know it sounds stupid, but practically i do it everyday. I dun know why diversion ignition key seems to has this problem.

Fuel consumption varies depending on your riding style and like what Uncle Custom mention, read the old pages in this thread......go to page 184 for a start. Hope that helps.
