hello crazydj or whoever, the air filter is it supposed to be cleaned? or whole thing replaced?

You can clean it if you want. Just knock with the back of the screwdriver and blow with air gun. The sponge just soak in normal soapy water and just dry it normally, not under the sun. I do this time to time. But...

You buy from Ah Boy only $10. So yeah.

No problem bro.

guys how much is a new YBR otr ?

No idea seriously. My bet it would be 5-6k plus, including insurance. You can go ahead and call up shops to ask.

I want to install the Zeus 48 L box. Can fit 2 full-face helmets easily right? does anyone know where to buy and install cheap? kin tai only sells, no install and LAB u know la.

Definitely can fit 2 full face helmets. My Givi E45 can fit 2 full face. IF you can fit yourself, why not right? All you need is just an extra "bar" to hold the baseplate to the luggage rack.No need for box rack etc. Just secure the baseplate directly to your bike's luggage rack. Anyway, i think any bike shop can get the "bar" for you.

Hey guys, my TP is on 29th dec this month, cleared everything, left TP only. YBR caught my attention as a cheap and reliable bike to own. Planning to work for Domino as despatch when i pass since they are using YBR and thereby gain YBR-experience. However, i also would like own one myself. I dont mind its poor power considering im only 58kg, dont need any powerful bike. But just wondering, about how much would it get for a brand new YBR? Yes im planning to get my bike brand new :) Also, notice that quite a few people are having wiring, battery basically electronics problem. Is it a major issue?

They must be damn sway because this is the first time i am hearing this. If you say cheap inferior china parts that fall apart, then yes. But, wiring and electronics problems? Never heard of it. If you actually open up to see the wiring of the bike, its very simple for anything to go majorly wrong.

Anyway, the stock battery is a wet cell. I suggest you change to those maintenance free/sealed type. More convenient.

Petrol and EO only, $45 a month. 1 full tank lasts me 2 weeks. 1 month about 1k km. Change oil every 2 months. $10, semi syn. But depends. Sometimes i change once every 4 months, sometimes i use Ah Boy $3 EO.

Just wondering, are newer YBR's fuel injected instead of using carb?

I think the new ones in SG are still carburetor-ed.

Hey bro, i got some info from HLC. Brand new YBR is around 2990 machine price. Damn, its bloody cheap, cheaper than X1R! Just wondering, would you mind tell me how good a YBR would be? Im very interested! Cant wait to pass my TP next wed >

Pros:-

Low fuel consumption

Cheap and abundant parts

Low maintenance

Stable

Max speed 110km/h

TP will never want to find problem with you

Whatever you can put on an RXZ, you can put on a YBR. Shares many parts.

Not a fussy bike. Put $3 engine oil or $25 engine oil, the bike will still run. Fine.

Cons:-

Slow

Underpowered

Cheap China parts will degrade over time, but still super cheap to replace anyway.

Almost no aftermarket parts. No street legal aftermarket pipes. At all.

3k for machine price is good. Including insurance, road tax, about 4k plus.

Finally got to ride a YBR as a despatch rider. One sentence i can say, why did everyone say this bike was slow? Well maybe because i'm not a fast rider who always ride at 80km/h on normal roads(i prefer to stick to speed limit, dont wish to jam brake when i spot a QX, can be a fatal move), but i find that it has ample power. It's not really that slow that i was expecting. Hehe. And the suspension is soft enough for my likes. But one word of advice for those getting it brand new: change the stock tyre. My colleague said its stock tyre is prone to skidding in the wet. And i find it wobbly when cornering, kinda unstable but heck, its not a major issue.

I'm planning on getting one. Its cheap, altho maintenance wise i have no experience but since others say maintenance is cheap, then it should be. It fits my use and that's what most important.

Did you get the new YBR? Its using a flat-slide carb, as opposed to the round slide carb. So you get a teeny bit more power than us with the older ones.

You must be very light. And like to change gears after 5k. I am ultra heavy and i change gears only below 5k. Of course if you change close to red line, the damn thing is fast ah.

[quote name=n_e_o_O_n_e]hi bros....i bought my YBR a month ago and it can only go 350-360km then go on reserves, unlike what my friends says 450-480km then hit reserves. Any though about this? and where can i go to check the bike? Which mechanic is good at this YBR? Thanks

I like your friend's bike. Magical. Mine used to be 480 km and the damn needle pointing to 'E', not hit reserve.

Yeah its the new YBR, FBE plate. But i cant rmbr when i change my gear tho. Hehehe. But definitely far from redlining. What i like about the bike is the smoothness of the engine, unbelieveable, compared to other bikes that i rode. Maybe cause it's still new. And i weigh 58kg only, hehe
