Not sure if this question has already been answered in another thread, couldn't seem to find it when using the forum search, please direct me to that thread if there is an existing one.

I bought some wheel lights at 7-11 cause they were cheap and I was bored. I'm referring to LED lights attached to the tire valve covers of the bike so that they form a glowing circle while the bike is in motion.

I would like to use them on my bike just for fun, but don't seem to see anyone else using them. Are they illegal? Thanks. :)

thanks... ya i agree it looks nice... but all my friends complain it's "ah beng" lol

guess i'll use it occasionally and try my luck then... but it's kinda troublesome to have to remove them once you park your bike otherwise some idiots might steal it for their bicycles... luckily it's easy to remove as well

anyone knows what's the penalty for unauthorised modification?

are you riding a super4 and happen to study in sim? if both also yes, maybe high chances the one i saw is you.

anyway for your tyre light cap... i think it fall under Decorative Lamps.

Decorative Lamps

(e.g. Wiper washer LEDs, undercarriage neon lights, vehicle interior neon lights, flashing decorative lights, etc.)

Fitting decorative lamps to vehicles are not allowed as they may cause confusion and distraction to other road users.

but then, the light pretty dim in daytime. at night, i think tp more interested in speeding and drink riding these type of offence. at most give you a warning? for LTA, i only seen them on the road once (and that is at an accident site) in my 1 year plus of riding life.

they do, just not by tp.

anyway dont think wheel lights very easy to spot from front or behind. it shoud be quite safe.

Accident can happen anytime, anywhere.

However ask yourself, do you want to fall at 120km/h or 60km/h?
