Hi,

I got it @ bikeworkz. Buy separately and came up to $70. From your question, I think you want to buy the key mechanism, it's $30 alone. May be able to get from FJT cheaper not sure, you have to call and check.

u can do some simple troubleshooting to your switch assembly. using a multimeter, ensure all the wires coming to the switch do have continuity. from there, u will know which wire are faulty. :thumb:

i have a used L model switch assembly, but the ON/OFF button is knackered (still can switch on/off). for the sake of cheap, u can replace the button and do a simple DIY to the wiring to fit R model connector just like i did mine to fit the R model switch assy to L model connector. but if u have another cheap switch assy option, go for it. :thumb:

yes..i agreed, i myself had changed twice already for the switch...basically it can be sucky for this..was thinking to put a fuse in btw the wires, but mech says it cant be done...

I also heard you can put a relay for the headlight switch to prevent it from melting, not too sure about this though. I think the main reason why our Headlight switch melts often is because of the headlight rating, in singapore H4 bulbs use 60/55W but the CBR (Japan Spec) uses 50/35W.

As for motorshop, my money goes to bikeworkz, when I first got my bike always got electrical problems, when to many shops and changed many things coil, rectifier, battery etc. still the same problem. Untill I went to bikeworkz and they solved my problem, been 2 years now no electrical problems. (Touch wood)

Anyone here knows, if change new harness will it be Japan spec or UK spec?

around RM10-15/pcs.

I'm not sure but I think bikeworkz may be able to do, try call ah beng and see. I actually have one 60/35W bulb in good working condition :cheeky: any one got one more, then i'm set. Btw sorry post wrongly previously, shd be 60/35W not 50/35W. You can actually order from UK the 60/35W including postage should be around $70 (2 bulbs). Downside is the light will be normal orange color one. I use white color for 3 years already dun feel like changing back to orange.

Any one change new harness b4?
