erm, that one is my wife. yeah, i was there on monday to pay my installments. there is this young lad with weird looking eyes and long bengish hair quoting me the price. i don't really know much about the price of fireblades but i know that shop thru my friend who get 2 bikes from them, full cash. he got go down with me a couple of times to ask about the pricing so i think they sell it to me abit cheaper. condition looks ok but as i mentioned above, when reving, got this creaking sound. anyway, my tp date is booked, 26th april. must practise hard!

the creaking sound u mentioned is kinda confusing. i find it rather suspicious when the mech claimed its from the burnt spark plugs?? y dun u ask him to get it changed (since he's going to changed it anyway), & if the sound persists, its time to move on.

rotors - old bikes usually comes with badly warped rotors or worse, hairline cracks!! dun accept it if they promised machining it, thinned rotors screws up real fast.

rear shocks - if its almost/or clicked to max. its ex, they will never get it replaced for u as they believe some idiots ll comes ard buying it. spacers r only temporary solutions!!

frnt shocks - no leaks & seals in gd conditions.

electricals - rests r cheapos, make sure alternator still spins well.

cooling system - if its overheat easily, tats it.

& the lists goes on. dun buy a bike tat spends more on restoring. gd luck

150/60 17 as recommended in User Manual, 160/60 17 if u are only going touring and dun need to corner that much.. 160 feels sluggish.

Rear shock can be serviced, to keep it in tip top condition. Best would be not to pillion and ur shock would live a longer life..

I'd agree with espy, GPR70SP :thumb:

See you tomolo espy.

Anyway about temperature prob, it can be down to many faults. Faulty radiator, blown gasket, leaking water pump.

Best to go service. Anyone looking for shop specialising in CBR400RR send me a message.

1.do u guys face this problem when u corner, the handle seem to tile more then u wanted it to...seem like suddenly very "loose".what could be the problem?seem to me like fork alighment out or tire uneven wear or incorrect pressure.

2.what chain u all using?where u guys change it?

3.where u guy go do svc?

wash k&n,carb, change eng oil?spark plug etc.

4.the retifer tend to get very hot.think the location is where the pillion put the leg.is it normal?

5.would like to meet u guys to share knowledge of this bike.when is the next outing?me stay in the west!

The bike in the foreground (Red/Black) will be at ASPhoon Serangoon by lunch time 29Mar.

Those looking for babyblade might wanna check this baby out.

It comes with a maintenance log under the pillion seat (1 year history).

Served me well, never let me down.

4K is ok but it seems tat this bike is pretty old. registered somewhere 91/92.. i doubt the bike would be in fantastic condition, so lotsa stuffs to check.

inclu insurance, tx fees & bla bla, probably slightly below 5K.

btw, ntuc dun take cbr400 so it doesn't matter if u r using ur dad's name.

IMHO, it better tat such bikes r bought from 'reputable' pple in the forum/biking community where they r known to take care of their bikes. in most cases, well maintained ones wouldn't end up in bikeshops. aftsales repairs & replacement can really rip u off.

Yoz bro~

I smells discrimination against my junk LoL~! Dun doubt a bike by its registered date! =p
