ya.. i went to try when my husb was there for his 2A n all the instructors there pretty much know me la.. so i ask to try n their boss let me sit.. just never start engine only.. feet can touch floor n the weight is manageable.. feels lighter than my husb's duke 200 lolol

hahaa... so the super 4 is better balanced... S4 is 200kg... Duke 200 is 159kg... based on stats (full fuel)... unless your hubby added alot of case and frills.

But you already know that weight means has nothing once you're riding it hahaha. Only when the bike is dropped... then hehehe.

but power on the S4 once u get the vtec rpm range is really no joke. the sound also... quite shiok. its really quite a decent bike to have in Singapore for a 2A bike.

Just the looks abit "ah pek" haha old school. unless you get the boldor model. Looks pretty sleek.

if got cheap deals left 1 year at reasonable priced.. can consider.. if not, dun get it.. waste money only.. lol.. I brought my MT03 about 1 year+ ago at 8k? (left 5 years COE) most of the prices nowadays all anyhow marked up de..

that's why I'm now looking at those COE ending bikes.. haha.. those will be more reasonable priced..

True. I’m spending a bit to “fix” up my fz16 like spraying new paint all so figured it’ll all be a waste if I sell it just for a 2A bike. Seems so long to wait for my Harley 883 lol

CL2A

1 - agreed on height as main objective but she can try to sit on other super 4 and see if she can "adopt" to it or not.

2 - yes yes.. plank will need to brake abit to pass.. no longer half clutch can pass..

3 - bumpy, just half clutch slowly go across can pass liao..

4 - figure 8, cannot brake to pass. 😂

CL2

Plank need to brake ALOT.. to pass.. 11s

bumpy need to half clutch and 5-10% throttle just not to let engine die..

figure 8, same.. gear 2 cannot brake must throttle abit to pass.. less then 9seconds

Talking abt the stupid plank, in 2B I hecked the half clutch nonsense and just went up plank fast and used the rear brake and free wheeled all the way to clock 6secs. Hope it’ll still work for both 2A and 2 😂

nope.... aint goner work with 8s and 10s with this cheat hahaa... You'll need to use the throttle, clutch and rear brakes for this. But class 2A and 2 are both more stable on the plank. Prob because the engine is more balance for the CB400 and CB600.

2A bike is too heavy for this trick to work. I can consistently below 10 sec for S-course in 2B but 2A depends on angle of entry, amount of throttle, rear braking force, etc. I can only tell you what won't work: if you don't use throttle during the straight portions of the circuit prepare to fail, it is that demanding...

True. Lets see how it goes. SG macam macam. My license in Indonesia was a 10min thing. On the spot get 😀

hahaha sacrifice some points so long not IF lol. lets see. CDC using the YBR bikes and i'm 186/100kg man so i found the bike damn small and short for me. 2A would be the MT03. Probably easier with the plank.

nope.. 100% doesn't work.. LOL..2B - I recall same as you.. just ride pass no need to brake.. just need to balance..

2A - need to brake abit..

2 - almost just brake and half clutch at the same time..

indeed.. I believe tire thicker.. so more grip... that also means.. S course is harder.. LOL..  100% need to throttle a lot more..

😂 overseas vs SG = cannot be compared..

indeed.. sacrifice points for any IF..

People say that the bumpy course is killer for 2A and 2 but my experience at least for 2A is the S-course hard to pass. My other stations I never struggled. Narrow plank seriously piece of cake lah. Try lane split during rush hour for few years after awhile narrow plank is nothing already.

Bumpy once you get used to it. Its ok la. Just need to get use to turning the throttle with your fingers instead of grabbing the throttle and turning it. The sooner you get use to it the better.

So true about the plank... especially at traffic light stops. just slowly practise "plank" hahahaa

Better trick is to open throttle slightly and play the clutch friction zone.

you mean to hold the throttle at a fix setting and use the clutch to control power?

Usually you'll need just that extra power to get over the "tip" of the bump then throttle down again to roll. I guess either technique works as long as it gets you through. After you're used to the feel of it you kinda not focus on the clutch and throttle so much and just go by the feel and compensate accordingly.

Just remember to grip the bike tightly with your thighs.

Basically open and close the clutch. A good instructor should be able to show you how to do it.

Personally i think you should heal up first. Then get those riding mesh pants to give you the additional confidence before going for your rides.

For the class 2A i would think the problem might be the height of the bikes... Do they have lowered S4s there? Maybe you can wait for @noobie2k22and go together. got a partner always more fun. Can encourage each other.

2A the hardest will likely be the Plank and the bumps. You need to have courage and confidence standing on the bike at the bumps. But its a good skill to learn before heading in and back from Malaysia. haha... there are bumps when you come back and that is really useful to learn how to deal with those bumps before going in.

hello i’m back. yeah this is a great idea! can learn class 2A tgt! unfortunately have not gotten my bike as kena chopped carrot lol
