Hi all,

I came across a Virago 400 earlier today, and since I'm looking for a 2nd hand 2A cruiser, just thought of seeking your advices here.

Is the Virago 400 a reliable bike, and considering it is no longer in production, will there be issues with spare parts availability?

Or is it just better to get a Steed, or if budget can stretch further, a Shadow?

Kindly note I'm getting this more for the purpose of leisure riding.

Appreciate your advices.

Thank you.

reliability wise i am not sure as i have not had one myself

however, if i am not mistaken the virago shares parts with dragstar, most if not all the wear n tear parts shld be the same

repair wise again i'm not familiar w the mechanics in sg actually, but i do believe rosli shld be able to fix it

however, i do know of a mechanic in jb who's rather gd w cruisers.. seen quite a fair number of metric cruisers at his shop for repair n wad have u.. dragstars, viragos and vulcans all in e list

Hi guys! I used to own 2 Virago 400cc. Both I owned were the older version with the rectifier at the base of the bike and the tank under the seat. The rectifier being at the base can easily get wet due to our weather thus the trick was to move the rectifier under the fake tank cover (wired up).

The newer versions have real tanks and rectifier moved up giving more mileage per tank

Overall, a nice bike to ride especially for the smaller guys like me (used to be smaller not now!!).

Hi all,

Thank you all for the advices.

I have not been able to get much info on the web, and your advices are most appreciated.

Cheers.
