Just being curious, do Singtel charges more on monthly sub fees after you've completed the contract period unless you renew to a new contract period?

 

I had this experience with Singtel for some corporate services at a company I worked with. We did not realize that the contract period was over and the monthly fees were increased to almost double until we agreed to a contract renewal.

 

I don;t recall such things with either Starhub or M1.

by right, after the contract, the subscription fees will be back to the amount before the promotion, the original amount.

 

shud apply to starhub and m1 as well.

 

i had the same experience but its with m1. they immediately/effectively charge me at the "original" rate. grr.

 

for singtel, from what i know, the longer u stay with them, without contract, the more discounts they offer u too. my mom had her line without contract for like dono how many year alr, and they(singtel) gave her dono 20 or 30 percent off her subscription rate.

 

not quite sure about starhub but usually they will give alot of notices/vouchers b4 ur contract ends, esp when ur contract is mroe than 20mths less than 24mths.

Take for example.

The displayed monthly fees (no promotion) when I signed up my contract was about $50+.

After end of my contract, it stays at $50+. But I get an offer voucher to upgrade my handset if I recontract.

 

The experience my company had with Singtel was, the contract period was about $300 per month. After the contract it shot up to $500+ until we decided to recontract.

 

Not sure if its becoz its a corporate plan.

usually corporate plans can get much beta monthly than public.. some companies have free 24 months caller id as well.. it all depends on the usage, value added services, etc etc if that is the case can always call up to screw the customer service ppl then they will have to think of a way to help u.. hee very bad hor hehe

oh yes.

for lines signed by individual, it depends on the promo and the contract. sometimes the price plan stays the same.

 

however, lines signed under corporate, theres a special rate for corporate customers.

ur company's case is prolly coz of that.

I was thinking of either porting to starhub or m1... But i'll be choosing singtel cos most new phones will be released by them first then the other telcos. Another thing is my dad has been with them for like 10+ years and his classic plan only cos $5+ after discount and everything. Nice...

there are some phones where other telcos have the first rights to release too.

 

unless u using ur dad's line, if not i doubt singtel will offer u the same for ur 'new' line.

then if the manager helps the CSO leh? they will say, its the company policy stated in the terms and condition, blah blah blah.

i will rather call again and hope another CSO picks up and then try the same stunt again. LOL.

 

 

ps, the stunt is to ask them help request for the voucher. $.$

actually they will know u had tried with another CSO one.. but then just act like cannot loh hehehehe and keep trying if long tenure with low usage can say long tenure good pay master.. if no voucher number port to another telco loh hehhehe

Yupz i was told that porting is a new line.. But also have this mentality of which gives the best promotion, i will go to which telcos.. For now i will try singtel, if not good, after 24months then jump again. But as from what i know, last time when i was using singnet and i called to cancel my account cos i very unhappy with them, they give me this voucher, that discount.. Use for 1 month in the end istill jump to starhub. But after that i jump back.. lolz..
