Where can i learn Class 4A & Forklift?

Hi

 

Like many people, i am keen to obtain all the different driving licences. I've search high and low but i cannot seem to find where can i learn Class 4A and Forklift. I can only find out where to learn class 4 and 5. For those who don't know, you can learn at:

4A is vocational license. Means for example u join SBS transit they train you on their bus you get 4A license... you quit SBS your 4A revoked.

 

Class 4 needless to say is lorry license.

what i heard 4a is for omni buses (those with number plate like PAXXXXA thingy).. u will have to actually renew that 4a license annually.. as for forklift i'm not quite sure, heard from my colleague that he was being sent by the company to attain such license.. now that you said.. i was juz wondering... in future will gahment change those big size 7 seater mpv into those class 4 license? vehicle like the alphard and mpv capacity exceeding 3.0cc... hmmmm

So with class 4, i can drive a coach? Because if 4A SBS/TIBS provide, then how to have my own private coach company with me as the driver for example?

Sigh, class 4 does not only mean a lorry, it can mean a bus.

 

Getting the licence is one thing. But getting a class 4 vocational licence will just mean you are allowed to drive a passenger bus.

 

Getting a class 5 vocational licence can drive those vehicles not belonging to you. Meaning you are just a driver engaged to drive that huge azz vehicle.

 

If you are above the age of 30, can also apply for taxi licence and then you can convert all your class 3, 4 & 5 when you finished the taxi licence course to get what I call a full vocational licence. Its a extra piece of small card size paper issues by the LTA, and you need to renew it every year.

 

So if you have full class 3,4 & 5. Renewing it is cheaper then for you to renew only one class of licence.

 

When you have the vocational class 4 or 5. Then you can be your own private coach company and drive your own vehicles, or be employed by private coach companies as drivers.

 

Forklift licence you take with PSA, they need you to show proof that its your company sending you for the course and there is a need for you to attain that licence.

It happened a few years ago. Someone complained that Rolls Royce driver should have class 4 licence since the vehicle is a certain tonnage.

 

Apparently it affected a lot of Singapore's "elites" that drives those vehicles. Thus LTA relaxed the rules to allow class 3 licence to drive those certain tonnage cars.

And now you seeking to learn something new. Their subsidise really will come in handy.

 

And yes, they offer courses and subsidise for class 4 & 5.

I got class 2b to class 5. I dont have to renew that licence because like driving licence, it's mine to keep for life.

 

But if you plan to drive private coach or buses; you need to get the vocational licence to be allowed to drive them.

 

Eg, school buses, coaches, tour bus and tour vans, because their number plate is usually starting with a "PA#%&*A". That means you need to have a vocational licence in addition to the class of driving licence to drive them.

If you are chinese, go to Chinese development assistance council website first.

 

Download the forms and submit your application. They will inform you to go down to CDAC at Tg Katong to pay maybe $125/- for class 4 training. Repeat test fees not included.

 

Then when you pass class 4, you bring your licence to CDAC, show it to them and you pay $125 for class 5.

 

What happens is that CDAC will refund you $90/- after you shown that you got your class 4.

 

Then when you completed class 5, they will refund that $90/- back to you. They call it 'Incentive'.

firstly, u need a class 3 licence. after the age of 21, then u can start enrolling urself for class 4 licence. U need to finish the probation period before proceeding for class 4

no need...u get class today,next day can enrol for class 4.pay abt $800 to enrol for practicals..abt 4 lessons
