Yeah sure. I got someone ten thousand miles away dying right this moment and I'm relying on remote-controlling her friend (more or less) to save her and her child.

I wish I can rely on people closer to me geographically but I know I can't.

This is the second time in two years...

I hope all goes well, and you could do something to ease the situation.

Hope the child and mum is fine

Can't make it this WE guys, I'm swamped with work and if I get out of bed early it'll be to come sit behind this screen and get some work done for next week. And I'm joining a charity ride on Sunday afternoon that was planned eons ago. I have not had the chance to wash my bike in so long I can't remember when I did it the last time, so that tells you it's bad busy :cheeky:

Kalyan, you'll work it out I'm sure, don't get bitter online, doesn't suit your niceness

No worries at all.

I'll try to make this weekend rides consistent, so hopefully whenever any of you guys get free you can always just pop by to distress for a peaceful ride (:

lol i clicked standard...cause i assumed express will incur additional charges...anyway i paid the exact amount for mine , how much did u pay for express?

Your order goes through several steps before reaching your door. Here are those steps:

Step 1 (1-3 days): Products are collected from our suppliers.

Step 2 (

Step 3 (1 day): Order is packaged.

Step 4 (10-13 days): Order is enroute via Hong Kong Post.

"Your order has been shipped from the fulfillment center. Delivery time is about 7 to 10 working days, as quoted by the post office (3 to 4 days for EMS Express). * Note that this delivery estimation is as provided by Hong Kong Post and like most post offices around the world delivery time for airmail packages is not guaranteed.

If this is a partial shipment, you will be able to track what is shipped and unshipped using the Invoice page from order tracking, after 24 hours of receiving this e-mail.

When the order delivers, please keep the original packaging of the entire order for one month. Should you need to request for return or replacement, customer care staffs may ask for a picture of the packaging."

lol so express is indeed faster...but dunno how much extra it cost leh...

anyone riding tonight ?.

Huxian and his Hyosung Comet last night:

[yt]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PUP8G1nU4kI[/yt]

His Comet has an EXTREMELY high safe cornering speed due to the lack of boxes (light weight) and more importantly the advanced monoshock suspension.

Cool camo patterned "Super 1.5"!

--

Course: "Eastern Midnight Express"

Start - Downtown east @ 0000hrs

  1. Proceed to "Airport Autocross" (nabil's course)
  2. Westbound via ECP to Pasir Panjang
  3. "99 Bends"
  4. North via Adam/Lornie to Upper Thomson
  5. "Devil's Bend"
  6. Retire at Yishun Dam 0200h

Rules of engagement: None. Touge format during the fun parts.

It was fun to ride with Huxian as he is very focused and maintains a constant riding pattern all the way... at more or less flat out. Yes we were stopped by a roadblock and no they liked us :3

LOL yes we have to unite all the famous outing crews together; nabil needs to get less busy, I need to get less stressed and you need your cam.

The plot looks perfect to me!

Here's my short ride today.

Taken using I-phone camera (just for those who want to know)

Cheers

LOL Good work mate - crazy skill balancing that thing while on the go. Do more of that and you can join the Top Gear India discussions on facebook :D

haha.. yeah.. balancing.. not good man.. dangerous action... Confirm not in time for E-brake..

No problem for nabil I think. Bollywood action hero power :3

Have you seen his van video? Awesome driving.

An idea for our combined video shoot is to film both from the bike and dismounted, that way we can imitate those magazine-format car shows like Top Gear. That's what we don't dare to do so far but since nabil and I are so infamous already I don't care to show my unglam face on the vids :p

If we can find a deserted carpark or stretch of road we can do a lot of slow speed maneuvers and "flybys" to show off the bikes, riders, and the noises they make. We do not have to ride fast, just ride with style. Cameras make things look really fast, anyway.

I'm running the Saturday night one and for now have to be gently persuaded to join a day outing.

Kindly go ahead and try your persuasion skills :3

Lol.

Lol.

My persuasion skills were never good to begin with. Haa

But I'm sure the early morning rides have their own taste and creates a much more different atmosphere then the night runs. Although at 6am, it's still dark, it's something different and more delighting!

Guess we can always exchange once a forthnight or smth to enter each other rides and learn more.

Not to forget riding early morning on the weekends is brilliant too, roads are wide, and spacious.

I just spent 3 hours at Planet waiting for a rare sprocket size; I also got the latest X-ring heavy-duty chain after complaining to Ah Chong there was something having a bad rattle whenever I clutch in to coast or stop. Turns out it's the lightweight chain at fault, prone to stretching under my kind of riding style.

So with my personal selection of highway sprocket and more advanced chain my cruising speed is 90kph (@10-20% throttle). I didn't do this to increase the top speed (indirect benefit) but to decrease cruise RPMs and thus, running temperature. Makes good use of torque like a proper cruiser should. I don't like going 7,000RPM every time I hit the highway.

This should make my bike more comfortable for highway sprints, won't overheat (and destroy engine oil) in the day and raise fuel efficiency back to the 40+km/l range.

Will post template for Saturday night touge once I poked at the beyond the screen section..

edit.. and there it is

Had screamed abit in the beginning of the video, cos I saw a dead rat on the road and almost went over it :(

I prefer roadkill to live animals, which may throw you off your game.

I was cornering pretty fast and low at the entrance of the lane where Rochor tau huey is, and I ran over a cat dashing across the road. There was no way I could avoid it, and I had already committed fully into the lean, hence I refused to change my line, resulting in a bumpy wobble as I ran over the cat with my front wheel, which unseated me and gave me a tankslapper out of the turn. I maintained my throttle and shifted my weight to the back, easing the steering and straightening the front into a beautiful recovery.

Will post the video when I find it...

Believe nothing you hear; and only half of what you see.

Do or do not; there is no 'try'.

Wow! Can we do a fly-by while the NSR catches up and join us in formation while on the move? Tho that would mean I'd have to stay behind to capture the whole thing...
