A low-light HD resolution production takes an entire day to edit, post process and upload! Special software tools are needed to get the best out of raw HD footage because... the video shows everything :p

This convoy pretty much required military combined-arms tactics to operate. There were two GIANT bikes in it and they were the centre of the 'task force'. There were also little bikes which were so handy to scoot ahead with and secure the next waypoint ahead of the battle fleet.

 

You have to manually select the 720p resolution from the widget above as it defaults to 360p I think.

 

Cool, the 360p is clear enough for me. Low light is very clear for the canon.

In fact I'm trying to find a video on gopro hd as clear as other portable hd camera in low light but couldn't find it.

the traffic condition is horrible. what time is that?

btw, can your cam do 720p in 60fps?

 

around 6pm...

after work...

1st part of the video is heading towards town...

2nd part is heading home...

 

my cam the supported resolutions are

 

640 x 480 30fps

1440 x 1080 30fps

1280 x 720 30fps

1280 x 720 60fps

i think 30fps is enough for daily ride...

Hi Everyone,

 

Just decided to jump on the bandwagon for filming rides! Too many close calls, think its time to get some evidence down in case of any accidents in the future.

 

I'm currently looking at the GoPro Helmet Hero camera. Any reviews on that particular camera?

 

Would anyone have any suggestions on where I can get the GoPro Helmet Hero Camera pacakge? Seen a few on ebay and locally seems that only outdoor and travel Sg has it, and so does Chiff Camera, but both retailing it for about $460-$490 SGD.

 

Would definitely appreciate any advise/ help that i can get! Wouldn't mind any other recommendations from fellow riders for other brands/ models too!

gopro is a superb cam...

too bad in sg very ex...

you can try another shop in vivo 2nd floor talk & play...got sell also...

1 not so good point about gopro is fogging inside of the waterproof housing due to the weather in sg...

sometimes it might fog up...

this can be solved by putting small packets of dissatant or spray those anti-fog spray for specs inside the housing...

i think you ship in from US might be slightly cheaper than buy in sg...

there are other brands out there also...

really depends on what is your budget,function and resolution you looking for...

Read this thread a few pages back, people have posted videos and reviews on the GoPro. To my knowledge the best price is the combo amazon + vpost.

Read the thread yest already and if i'm not wrong, some of those more recent posts were from the GoPro 960? I'm looking more towards the GoPro Hero Hd that supports 1080p.

 

Checked with Amazon on some of the deals they have, not too bad, quite reasonable pricing. But O'ren, Would you have any idea how much the Vpost would cost to ship the item over? I asked Amazon for the dimensions of the packaging but they were not able to provide me with any figures. I've heard some horrible things about Vpost. If I were you, I'd search on eBay for US sellers willing to ship to Singapore. I did this a few months ago and managed to get my GoPro HD Hero Motorsports for something like S$350 all-up including express delivery. If the seller doesn't note international shipping cost, just ask them.

 

I'd just like to add that the GoPro is incredible value for money. It may look clunky but it does the job amazingly well. It has impressed me with its video quality but recently impressed me more with its resilience. I used it while dirt biking last weekend and the mounting to my helmet took some major abuse from tree branches smacking into it at speed (with no tilting or shuddering of footage) and it handled my fall pretty well too:

I ordered mine HD Helmet hero already! But shipping it via Vpost. Should arrive in the next few days. Hoping it'll still be in one piece! Think was not too bad a deal from amazon, after the exchange rate and shipping, was about $470 sgd for the HD Helmet Hero + LCD Bacpac + Battery Bacpac. Thanks for the advise though. I'll try to do some testing for daylight + low light once i get my camera!

 

Mind if I ask how you attach your camera to your helmet? Using the curved mount or suction cup?

my cam the lower potion of the female mounting thread broke off...now need a longer bolt to screw in to catch the upper threads...anyone knows if it is possible for me to rethread/repair the lower female mounting thread?

the problem is the thread is plastic...

haiz...

anyway found a cheap way to get it settled

going to glue a 1/4" nut to the bottom of my cam instead

now cam with my gf in Australia when she's back then i do the DIY...
