now cam with my gf in Australia when she's back then i do the DIY...

 

Does not sound right! Should be DIY now since she's away....hahaa just kidding to lighten up the morning.

 

Checked out Gopro hero motorsporrs @ vivo and suntec harvey/best denki.

 

After calculating freight etc...local prices are not that far actually. Furthermore the vivo unit provide 1 to 1 exchange if new sets are found w case crack. For the freight in, you have to bear additional 2 way freight cost and not to mention time taken.

 

Contourhd might be slightly bigger but better mounting on bikes and unlikely to have the case fogging like gopro.

for fogging can get the gopro inserts

or a cheaper way is to go spec shops and get the anti fogging spray

actually after shipping in you can get a gopro hero naked for about SGD$320 shipping included

in SG a naked Hero is in the range of SGD$400+

for Hero motorsports is about SGD$370+ before shipping

at vivo the shop talk and play selling SGD$500+

with USD now at so low shipping in might be cheaper option...

Yah motorsport standard package. Ram bar mount is sgd51. I reckon quite good price.

 

Problem is shipping from US is the frieght has gone up a lot thus not much savings even via vpost.

$459, I bought it at Harvey Norman at funan IT mall

 

Includes the camera, the waterproof case, one suction holder (very strong), 4 adhesive mounts (very strong also), one battery, a couple of cables + the usb cable and another few things..

 

What you need to get is an SD card coz none included and to charge it at the wall socket, you can use any iphone wall charger and the usb cable included...2

very good quality video indeed, I am getting a gopro hd motorsport too.

seems like if really wan to capture a good quality video on bike, gopro camera is one of the few top choices.

Hm.. I got my helmet hero hd from amazon, with vpost shipping (first timer- so get $20 off).

 

I bought the Helmet Hero HD set, + LCD Bacpac + Battery Bacpac + Vpost shipping, came up to about $470 SGD.

I think it is possible with the GoPro HD Hero motorsport with LCD Backpac and extra battery.

Mine's the Helmet hero package, comes with 2 curved mounts/ 2 flat mounts, head strap mount, vented helmet mount. Yah. was not too bad. found it to be quite reasonable. Definitely much cheaper than purchasing it here as the base price for most of the places i asked was about $459 for the Helmet Hero HD set, then about $134 for the LCD Bacpac, and i think about another $80-90 for the Battery Bacpac.

i ordered the batt backpack,lcd bacpac and skeleton casing through amazon.

when i send my invoice to vpost they say the batt backpack is prohibited item and cannot be shipped by them

they ask me to get my own courier to collect the item from them to ship over or to dispose it over at their location

any idea if my other 2 items are affected or just the batt backpack?

according to amazon, the items will arrive in 3 shipment

anyone faced this problem before?

i think is cause on the invoice the batt pack write an individual seller name...

now have to wait till mon to call vpost to find out the details...

worst come to worst have to arrange for another courier to collect and send the items over...

I am still waiting for mine to come. Very excited after watching so many cool videos made out from gopro hd.

But the night video isn't very impressive..

Where are you going to mount the camera?

 

I tired on the front and on the tank, both looks good but I prefer the front so I can capture any incident on the road clearly. But on the tank, it looks nicer as it shows a bike in it.
