is there a way to just upload either the front or the rear cam video instead of uploading both front and rear side by side?

Ur wide angle i believe slightly wider than mine. Not bad e clarity. :) hope to c a night video. ^^

Btw i saw jvc has a action cam. $499 at jurong point 1 of e bigger IT store b1

the specs states 160 degree wide angle. the real 808 #16v2 now comes with a 120 degree wide angle lens . i was thinking of getting it to try 1st since it is only USD43.99

@xueling. Yes no issue. Rather if u press e box at other area may accidently switch off e recording becoz too fitting. So when i mounting i ve to hold it properly. But once used to it no issue.

160 degree is which camera? Jvc i saw specs is 120. I think 808 #16 is also 120 degree or lesser.

aft putting the 808 #16 into the tic tac container, did u encounter any sudden heavy downpour and will the camera still work?

160 degree is the 1 that is selling at motoworld, the camera that bro beesee_sg is using

Doesnt look like 160 degrees. Lol. But maybe becoz e video is smaller on youtube.

Yes tic tac box went through heavy downpour already. Check out my youtube channel, 1 of e video is about e rain.

The question is

Is gopro itself is waterproof.

Answer is no

Its using waterproof case system.

If that's call waterproof then most dslr as optional waterproof aqua case too.

You get wak amin (what i mean)?

xp

Azmil Sempit

gopro without the casing is just like any other cameras. and even with other cameras which offers underwater casings, they cost almost the same as the camera itself.

plus conventional camera casings does not come with the necessary mountings and accessories..

Thanks for the upload.

I know this is kind of troublesome... but do you think you could upload a section of the original video to some file sharing location (yousendit.com, dropbox, etc) so that we can download and view on our PC? I think youtube is not doing justice to the quality, and some of us are unsure whether it meets our needs. So it would be nice to see the original video.

No worries if it's not possible. Thanks in advance anyway :)

Pdf user manual of rd32ii and includes description of some accessories but not how to use them. Had to google how to use e straps.

So YES!!! My rd32ii has arrived!! Yesterday. But no one home to collect. So collected from post office and begin to setup.

http://img.tapatalk.com/b637edfb-ffc2-9e09.jpg

Again mounted on helmet left. Same as previous 808 #16. Prefer left side for some reason unknown to me. :)

http://img.tapatalk.com/b637edfb-fffc-724d.jpg

This is e black piece just below e camera in e picture above. It is those screw on types with e round knob which can be adjusted. Basically i slip a key ring through e screw part and tighten. This setup is connected to my lanyard for safety. Dun wanna lose $200. ^^

basically i bought $139 for e camera and $15 for additional accessories pack. Prices r in usd. For those who ve in mind same objective or similar purpose as mine, u can forgo e accessories pack. Only after getting then i realise doesn't really suit my purpose.

While setting up, had a issue. E settings can only be configured through AV or HDMI cable to ur TV. Yes this cam supports direct viewing from TV and even direct project of e camera lens to TV although ve to buy a much longer cable for any practical setup. Anywy it just happened tat my TV's remote is spoilt and there is no button on e TV for me to change to AV channel. Thus i went downstairs and requested e shop uncle to lend me his TV to configure e cam. Lol. Nice uncle.

And so far my experience with e cam.

Pros

1) E form factor is quite good. Small an light

2) user manual is very clear.

3) settings manual is very clear. I had no difficulties settin e datetime except having to find a working TV remote. On my 808 #16 had to do some research efore finding a solution.

4) 120 degree. Larger than my 808 #16. I can see my helmet in e video where as my 808 #16 couldnt. E position used was e same.

Cons

1) I find e connectors on e cam itself fragile. E feeling i get is handle with care. There is a port tat connects to HDMI and a smaller than mini usb which connects to my usb. E smaller than mini usb happens to be e charging port so this will be a very frequently used port. Felt tat this could be constructed stronger. Hope tat e weak feeling is just my impression.

2) e accessories. First e default helmet mount accessories i feel may be too weak for motorbikes. Of coz i ve not used it yet thus i cant say for sure. But if u look at e 2nd picture, this portion has to be connected to e cam. And e flat side will be e part tat is pasted onto e helmet. I find tat this design reduces e aero dynamics thereby causing more strain on e support. E adhesive provided has e 3M label and is a thin piece of double side tape. Anyway i went back to using my trusty 3m dual lock velcro which is tested and proven with my 808 #16. My setup now is double e length of velcro which = double e strength although e weight is somewat x 5.

3) again on accessories. E basic stuff comes with a handlebar mount. E design of e mounting kit is such tat it is not extendable. Meaning there is a max height it can go to. So if u own a fairing bike and maybe ve some stickers or license plate on ur windshield, u will need to pray. Also e material although feels solid but is still plastic. Thankfully it is quick release type thus u can remove it easily. This way at least e degrading from prolong periods in e sun will be reduced.

4) accessories again. E clip on to e cam i find it too tight. At least i wont ve to worry about e clip on parts falling off.

Will be posting video tml if provided e angle i setup is ok. :)

1st usage and it is rainy day. Videos later but some additional comments on rd32ii.

E material used for e camera body seems to ve properties which makes e water "non stick". Basically i remove it from my helmet and just sling on neck put into jacket. When i took out e can from jacket, it was totally dry. Usually i would expect still some wetness or droplets on e body but no. This means tat after e rain, e camera will probably dry y fast by itself and allow for storage.

Thanks Daniel for the detailed review! Looking forward to video samples, and also if you could put up some pics on how the helmet looks with the camera mounted. Thanks! :thumb:

Oh, I didn't realise the camera was already attached there... sorry!

Do you have pics from other angles as well? Side, top, etc? Trying to get a feel for how it looks when everything is mounted.

w0000tt!! Thanks a lot for the info! This is actually smaller than I had expected :thumb:

Personally, I would prefer to mount it on top, in order to widen the field of view (worried that if the incident is on the right, the camera won't be able to capture). But I wear a flip up helmet, so I don't know about the clearances when it is flipped up. I guess side mounting would be the solution for this. Did you consider mounting on top as well?

Please do add on a review (like you did for your 808) when you have tried it out a little bit :) Cheers!!
