tHANKS danielling. it is very small. it looks just like my handphone which has built-in antaena which i can list to music and radio. to prevent the handphone from dropping, i hang a string over my neck to the hp. NOW what is the model of camera??? please

Rd32ii,but I won't recommend it. Unless u wan to change camera every 1+ years. The battery is in built this cannot change unless you are good with this sort of stuff. Price is around 150

Currently using drift HD 1080. Price around 260. slightly less aero dynamic but is removable battery.

rd32ii I guess.

Yuh.

Your camera mount very shaky the image quality will be better if you secured it properly.

Not sure what your mounting solution is, but you can try squeezing a small piece of rubber between the mount and the camera if you can. This will help reduce a lot of vibration at low cost.

Yes indeed, the camera is shaky due to it's hanging up like a coconut tree. And also, my bike vibrate a lot.

I have secure it with extra mouse pad sponge to the handle bar, and the mouth seems to break anytime I am sure.

But not to worry too much, I have found a less than $2 diy handle mount solution and I can shortoin the camera stand to make it less shaky I hope.

@vincekam

I bought the same camera SJ1000. Took it for my malacca trip and it did a pretty good job. I always used the waterproof housing.

Glad that you like the affordable HD cam. I like it a lot as well.

unfortunately, my mounting still is a failure. I even got hold of a ram mount but the waterproof housing still vibrate :-(

Mount for car use, also vibrate. Probably all my machine are old.

Overall, it's a good affordable daily/trip cam I gotta say and worth the money spent.

I mounted it to the centre of my handle bar which has lesser vibration.

I alsi bought the following mount separately.

Hi guys,

The SJ1000 seems to be very affordable and with good quality too. I am thinking of getting one for myself, but it seems that there are some problems with mounting?

Can anyone who managed to mount it steadily on their bike share how it is done? Best if it can be done using the standard mounts that came with it though...

I think my issue is the screw point from the ram mount to the rounded gold cam housing. It's shaky.

I just put some plastic tape round it to secure. Seems good. Will try this evening and see if it's shaky

Hi Zarris,

The mounts seems good. Just that I got lousy mounting skill.

The ram mount are good.

Gonna try this evening and lets see if that resolve my mounting problem

Did you try squeezing rubber or cushion into the water proof case?

Hi, thanks for the reply! I have just reserved one set and will be collecting it soon this week.

Do update here on the outcome of your mounting!

Hi danielling1981,

Thanks for your tip. the water proof case and the camera got no free play and so I am quite sure it's not the both mentioned cause the vibrating.

I still think it's the joint between the screw and the water proof case that cause it. So today, I use water tape to go round the screw joint and it's improve quite a bit.

More room for improvement I am sure.

Cheers!

Hi Zarrias, congratulation for your purchase. You won;t regret for a hundred bucks.

Still vibrating unfortunately. Probably due to my bike is very run down.

So I have been fiddling around with my SJ-1000 mount for the past week. At first I was reluctant to use the 3M adhesive since it would be a hassle to remove later on, so I tried the handlebar mount. Unfortunately because of my windshield, I need to mount it higher, which resulted in more wind and more vibrations. Not good. Video came out shaking all over the place, cannot see number plates clearly at all.

In the end, I resigned to using the 3M adhesive and video quality improved vastly. Although not comparable to a RAM mount, but at least can see number plates. I think that is good enough for me. Will post a video soon.

Ever since i installed a FHD DVR in my car, i have been contemplating putting it onto my bike as well. Understandably, it is not waterproof hence i will need to think of ways to seal it from rain.

What are your thoughts on this? A silly move?

A car FHD DVR offers much better recording and i can connect it direct to my battery.
