singapore remove speed cam to encourage speeding = will never happen

to me..i feel they are very sucessful already by planting the "Speedcamera" in every road user's mind..i need to by pass there everyday to get to my working place..despite knowing that the speed camera have been removed..i will keep my speed to 90 km/h not exceeding that....u see lar..:sian:

The speed camara is removed because many drivers like to jam brakes after noticing the camara, causing chain accident very often. Last time they install because alot of motorist speeding resulting to accident. After they install, ironically the accident rate increased. They see no point of the camara so remove it again.

That speed camera got no business since CTE always jam so it has been deployed to other place.

That 80km/hr speed limit should be increased to 90km/hr. What a drag to travel via that stretch.

Well...when the new overhead bridge is completed at CTE, they can always deploy hidden cameras there.

Have seen it at KJE. Cop was sitting down, and the camera is hidden behind the flowers on the bridge. You wont see it until it is too late.

Wonder if the authority realise it's the same thing happening at ERP gantries and do something about it? We always see road users slow down like turtles before ERP gantries and pick up speed after gantries. Worst, some jokers jam brakes when they realise they have not inserted the cash card.

I really do not understand why people like to slow down when approaching the gantries (

they scared they are too fast for the gantry to deduct $$$ fm their cashcard. But using some common sense, singapore wun build a lousy ERP which can deduct $$$ if u r driving/riding slightly faster.

Suggestion to those people who like to slow down when approaching gantries to speed up instead. Maybe if they are fast enuff, the gantry might not be able to deduct $$$. :)
