A one man show shop and a down to earth guy.

Good services at reasonable prices.

Excellent services. Made up of Chinese mechanics, local mechanics. Used to come from Cars and Cars, but they can be considered as VAG specialists.

Reasonable market prices & sincere services. It's either them, or I DIY back in the office. Depending on my mood.

Riverview at AMK Autopoint.

Pretty big workshop, pretty clean and tidy too.. Very friendly service, lets you watch your car being done or you can choose to watch DVD at the guest room.. Has plenty of proper tools(lots of workshop using shady tools).. Has computerized alignment service, $30 only.. Has diagnostic for most cars.. I changed my brake pads there b4 and they even apply copper grease to the back of the pads, most workshop skip this part.. They will show you the damaged/worn parts and let ypou decide to change or not if still can tahan, not pushy.. That time my absorber leak, they told me to go back agent claim instead of asking to me replace with them..

Comments: Made me felt like a carrot head. Quote price $X. Total bill = $X * 1.07 (GST). don't feel comfortable with their mechanics.

why i gave 3 is because i felt they have a competent cheif mech, just that his kakis aren't really that capable.

Quick question.

Will your workshop be more geared towards experienced people or will it be for new people?

Hi,

My car need many services...

actually when u people said abt reasonable pricing, wat does it mean ? can u all quote me wat is the actual price that is called "reasonable" ?

eg.

cleaning non-disposable air filter = ???

change engine oil = ???

Spark Plugs = ???

The thing is, i know nuts abt cars... i mean i know abt cars lah .. just the basic .. but comparison between one shop or another. coz my worries is abt "KETUK" from one shop just coz the car owner is so naive abt repairings... mostly i did service myself and i am not updated about the pricing of each and every part services .....

i will just give a avg price guide

wash filter (not just use air gun blow blow) $20-$30

engine oil depending on wat brand/grade/amount and vehicle cat. , lets use a example : "ELF fully syn (non-competition)" range $78-$108 depending on vehicle cat. Common brands like mobil range from $88-$128, autob*c castrol oil package $88.

EO Service package normally will include 4l of oil, oil filter, 16 point check, oil drain plug washer (optional).

Spark plug

Very subjective to wat brand and range you're getting... a normal NGK ik normal plug and a NGK R plug can cost alot of difference. Normal car plugs should not exceed $70-$80 based on oem specs with labour change.

For normal oil servicing, there's hardly anything to chop u off except smaller stuffs like non-original oil filter etc, some bullshit labour charge that came out from no where....

ubi so many workshops.... u go in Paya ubi industrial the whole place is all do car one...

i noe, the reasonable ones? I did my aircon at Tomika, tyre rotation at Tom's Tyre, but i still go up Tampines do servicing at United Motors (stockist for conti makes). The Espace at Eunos is way too expensive liao. i looking for conti makes workshop in Eunos, Ubi, specifically for Renaults.

Seems like many cs3 owners patronise there, haven't had a chance to go there for servicing before I sold off the 20k mileage car :cheeky:

i'm waiting for others to post west area's workshop...

West, tuas? Eurohaus but they are more of the VAG specialist. Had a bad experience there though

Ubi, Eunos have anot?

Have ;) I know of CH motors in Paya Ubi if I'm not wrong..

Renaults, haven't heard of any shops that specialises in that make. Do share if you find any via your forum :thumb:

Yes there is, a mechanic call Ismail, rented a space at Innovative Performance at Bt Merah Lane 3, he's ex-agent mechanic who is well verse in renaults makes. He also have the diagnostic tool, Clips for renaults. I goto him for engine specific servicing like autotrans flush, engine mounts, electronic problems. But so far no major failure from my ride, i feel renault engines are reliable.

Basic oil change, filter, sparks this type i go United Motors for them. United motors manage to resolve my coolant leak problem.

ya agree on the espace pricing...

tires related can go leong seng at paya ubi, price not the cheapest but gd advise and workmanship. Or maybe south east tyres also at east side.

Renault specialised type of workshop i really have no idea on the east side, but i do know a few at sin ming area
