fyi: shoei X-11 selling for $1050 at Chong Aik. Regina selling at half that price, don't be a carrot. They sold me a Nolan helmet at $80 more than the retail price compared to LAB and that was after a lot of bargaining.

i like chong aik...friendly and very helpful people, especially for helmet and boots. go wherever you prefer. price is not everything.

my x-11 tat i bought less den 2weeks ago was $730.

and it still is $730.

i agree... got my multitech from them as well

and the prices listed i guess are to deter those who wouldn't really buy it to take it down and try and test and get it all smelly and greasy

 

they were ok for me to put it on and walk around the shop to browse jackets & gloves for at least 15 mins ( of course i used my head liner ) just to ensure that i had a good fit and didn't get the "squeeze"

 

it was listed for more than i paid for

There are 3 sales personal, 2 young girls( if my eyes didn't betray me) behind the counter and a malay guy. All 3 are busy talking to an angmo at the counter. I purposely walk around and went back to the helmet section and still nobody approach me. Finally decided to walk out disappointed.

 

I remember last time CA is not like that. The matured sales women are very helpful and they let me try even when I am abit sweaty. I dont see those ladies around anymore and they moved to the opposite side of the road. I have bought 4 helmets from them last time, a Nolan, a Shoei and 2 cheapo kind.

i went to the place and ask they told me 730 oso.

 

even though the price stated that it was 1060 or something..

they could have told me it was tat price.

but they didnt.

maybe the angmoh requires something that needs their help?

was at CA a few times recently to scout out the shoeis..

 

so far the girls and the malay guy have been helpful..

allow me to try the helmet (many in fact), advise me on proper fit and different models..

i'd say i prefer the service there compared to regina.

 

and yes all the x-11s were quoted for $730 regardless of model.

Anyhow, It need 2 to help put on the helmet and 1 to give instructions.

It was serious teamwork and productivity, not to mention accomplishment.

When the helmet was finally on, all 3 went into wild celebrations and i could hear clapping and patting of backs.....

I didn't stay to see how they take off the helmet tho...

too disappointed for not helping..

this kind of fullface, as well as the arai TX is very comfortable for road riding in sg.

the face area is roomy, the visor area is large, the ventilations are great.

 

the peak is kinda aerodynamic, adjustable and removable.

it can be used to shield from sunlight. but at the moment i've taken it off.
