Question: TW200 - Extended Swingarm Legal?

Hi All,

 

I've been taking my 2B license for the past months and have looked around for a bike that suits me. I found the TW200 and it looks dam pretty cool after the swingarm has been extended. Like so:

My question is - is it legal in the first place? will i encounter any problems when i go for inspection in future? is there a limit to the entension?

 

Also, if it is actually legal, how do I go about it? i know it's possible to import from Japan - but i don't even know how to go about it. if cut and weld - would it be possible or even advisable?

 

Last but not least - how much would the damages to beautify a TW be? anyone got recommendations to any shops?

TW swingarm extension is a definate illegal here in sillypore.

 

But if you are the hardcore typre and dun give a damn, go for it! Don't be surprise if u came across 1 or 2 here with swingarm extension Cut and weld is possible here but not really recommended due to proper safety. Importing of the swingarm wil cost you a bomb.

 

Go to our TW thread for further discussions on mods. We do organise frequent meet ups and rides. Search under " Looking for tw200 kakis " under the general section of scramblers.
