4T is engine oil, which you need to flush out the used oil before refilling with fresh ones, remember to change your oil filter too.. As for 2T, just need to top up only.. Last time i riding 2 strokes the time also never flush 2T before, just top up will do..

Hi .Hack,

Thanks. Thats means 4T = engine oil. 2T is not engine oil? How about coolant? Did to flush before refill?

2-stroke = 2t oil aka gear oil

4-stroke = 4t oil aka engine oil

As for coolant.. Basically just need to top up when your coolant runs low.. Flush the cooling system once every 1 or 2 years will be fine..

Yup.. Locate your engine oil drain bolt at the bottom.. Remove it and drain oil.. Screw back the drain bolt and remove the filler cap.. Top up engine oil.. Remember not to over tighten your drain bolt..

I think as long as the oil level is between Max. and Min. should be alright? I may be wrong.. Anyone can clarify this?

That SAE40 is thick as h3ll until the oil warms up. I think u have problems getting it to idle right when starting from cold. It was thick even for a class 2 bike, took forever before the oil reached the right temp and viscosity to idle properly.

For running in, use mineral oil.. Grade 20W50.. No need to use those branded oil such as Motul, Castrol.. Just go to Shell buy Shell Advance S4.. One bottle $5.60 only..

I agree :thumb: Esso 4T Pace, Castrol GTX etc all applicable as well, just as cheap.

yup i agree with ur points since running in only no need to use high quality oil. that's why i bought that mobil SAE40 oil. but guess it's not as ideal to use. thanks for your input guys!!

What is the correct spanner size for the oil plug?

I am learning to change engine oil for my S4 Vtec2

Thanks

It's size 17. Use the close end spanner.
