before i push my bike & before HE DRAIN OUT MY OIL...

he told mi tis AFTER DRAINING OUT MY OIL... 'I heard u say u wan 5100, but didn't tell u i have it' Dishonest...

yr mec keep asking mi to get other oil, like castrol $13/bottle etc etc etc.. new sales tatics to clear old stocks mayb?

he tell mi $25/bottle, i didn't even ask for discount OK.

 

now u're telling another story saying others buying @ $23/bottle?

i can't believe it manz, it's like regular customer paying more? or the prices varies depending on the mood?

Thought of buying some accesseriors from HKL but seems the way they reply i rather fork out more to other shop to get the same things, BTW what a few hundred bucks compare to 9k a day...

hey is the mech plump guy?? i used to go HKL, cuz Ah Bee very nice n honest guy... n got lots of accesories at shop.. I also prefer a mech, Ah Meng, old guy but very honest n hardworking... till one day i went to decarbonised my exhaust... then this plump mech which i forgotten his name, burn my pocket big big... heish... someore he didnt even do the job well n also delayed the whole thing.. promised to do bike for me by tmrw, when i call he said all ok.. but when i come, my pipe not even there.... he havent even fix it...

From the sentence structure, I know you are not Ah Bee. Blabbering about the amount of money he made in 1 day and simply refusing to acknowledge and admit the mistake his staff made will further erode HKL brand name. You seriously need to do some "damage control" here.

i believe HKL should listen to his feedback and work better towards better quality service, i dont understand why HKL is overreacting and very unlike gentleman. I do sincerely hope it is not the boss speaking all this while as it is really disappointing to see the way he reply to some mails.

 

I do understand and believe that Lollypop is NOT COMPLAINING, he's just sharing his experience so that the Boss can react and remind his mechanics to provide better service.

 

 

I may not be rich, but i pay abit more for servicing and tires at mine regular mechanic as he's careful with mine bike and he gives good advice.... I've gone to only 3 bike shops in mine 3yrs of riding, and i've decided stick with him ever since..... yup...

ok, allow to me voice out some real small isuses here.

 

1 - i didn't koe there're so many out there who had such bad encounters with HKL like me.

2 - i really appreciate the comments u guys left behind, but sad to say even outsiders/readers like u guys are able to figure out the whole picture, yet the boss is refusing to do so.

3 - i would really luv to keep this thread on-going, so as to let more peeps realise abt this incident & be careful in the future.

First of all, I would like to say that i'm not posting this asking for compensation or trying to ruin the reputation of HKL. I need no PMs for apologies either, I'm just sharing what I encounter.

 

This is what happened to me.

Today, 31/12/2007, I went to HKL for a simple oil & filter change. All seems busy with their own stuffs, so I waited (for like 10 mins) before a mec (i prefer not to mention any name, so let's just call him 'K',) attend to me.

 

Me: "Want to change engine oil & oil filter."

K: "Ok, let your bike cool down 1st."

 

*15 mins pass .... K is still doing on a R6.

Me: "You want me to push my bike in?"

K: "Change bike again ah? Where your BlackBird?"

(he often mistook me for another BB owner)

Me: "I want change Motul 5100 & Original Yamaha oil filter".

He drain out my oil & remove the filter, and go back to work on the R6.

 

*another 10 mins pass, yet nothing done to my bike. Waited like a fool, keep smoking away.

Until I ask K for it, then he attend to my bike.

This time I told him AGAIN that I want Motul 5100.

Guess what, here comes it.

He told me no more 5100, ask me to get other oil.

When I question him how come he didn't inform me it's out of stock before draining out my oil.

Here's his reply: "I know you tell me you want Motul 5100, I heard that but I didn't tell you I've it."

WHAT THE F__K?!!!

 

What can I do, I can't possibly get him to pour all the oil back? What would you do if you're me?

Now he start to ask him to get other brands, in e end I still stick to Motul, but is 300V.

In the end, he get another mec to change for me.

Went for payment & I paid with Netts, now K told me there'll be a 2% extra charge for payment with Netts for above $100.

I always pay by cash in my previous servicing, but not this time as I didn't expect a Motul 300V.

Paid $93 for 3 x 300V & a origninal yamaha oil filter, which I personally felt that it's worth the money.

 

What pissed me off is how K deal with his customer, especially towards a regular. I've been going back to HKL since my days on a S4, asking for Motul 5100 all these years.

I can't deny that HKL's pricing is 1 of the cheapest in town, but that's not what brings me & my group of riding buddies there. I travel from Woodlands to HKL not of the few bucks cheaper, but is a form of my way to show my support for Ah-Bee all these years.

 

To all, this is not the 1st time such incident happen to me in HKL.

1st time was 6 months ago, same mec 'K' attend to mi, but during then I went to get the oil from other shops & paid the 'workmanship charges' to HKL. Today is the 2nd & final straw.

 

I'm not a businessman but i'm in the sales-line. Most of the times, it's not the prices that bring customers back, it's the service & attitude!

AND THE 'HONESTLY'....

I dun mind getting the 300V if 'K' was to inform me beforehand, I dun even mind walking to the nearest ATM to withdraw cash.

 

Well sad to say, Ah-Bee, on this very last day of 2007, you've lost a group of loyal customers.

Firstly, looking through this thread created by bro lollyPoP, if this was intended to be a feedback on the services & attitude of our advertisers HKL, as requested by my advertiser Mr Benny, feedback directly to him and he'll take up this issue personally.

 

It'll do no good creating this thread when this should have been conveyed on the spot to him. Moreover, as a customer we can insisted that I ONLY wanted Motul 5100 and nothing else. Mr Benny could easily have personally or send his despatch immediately to get it.

 

In this case I shall not dwell on the authenticity of the details as each side got their own preception to this inccident that happened. HKL is always focusing on services and had always insisted that members look for ah bee and stated your requirement so that proper instructions will be pass down to his mechanics. He may be busy most of the times but he've always stress this part TO LOOK FOR HIM. His contact is readily available in this forum and why not call and inform him???

 

To other members who's interested to know the details, Ah Bee will be ever ready to let you know what happened.

It's human nature to bargain even abit off the RP. There are miscommunication and kindly do not quote out of context. Bro innard is the one asking for $23 can or not. Not bro lollyPoP.

 

And nothing stays the same now that GST is 7%. What prices we've been getting years back is now almost impossible with the raising oil & gold prices. Please go around and see for yourself what's the price for Motul300V.

 

I will also advise member to stay focus and refrain from using strong words. There is always a price to pay if blow out of proportions.
