i've not been back to HKL for a very very long time liao toO... haha, cos their skill and service sucks..

Their price is not that good also..

! past experience their was changing brake pump which they charge mi $60!!! After changing not much Difference also.. Less than 6 months spoilt again, went planet to change only $45... so much more cheaper and the feel is so sO much better!

Well guys, juz wana share an incident I have wif a bike shop. I was a faithful customer of tis bike shop H*L for 3 yrs. Few weeks back, my bike had this engine oil leak prob. Went there to do repair for few times, spend around $200+, prob still persists! So I decided to try out un*ty as they are famous for big bike. BUT, I was kana spotted doing repair there by the boss of H*L. (u pple should know who I'm refering to.) Few days ago, I went to H*L wif my friends. 1 of the mechanic told me that the boss told them not to serve or entertain me should I come again. The mechanic told me nicely not to come over if possible as the boss already "buay song" wif me. I was quite turned off by the remark. What a way to do business! New customers can go over to his shop do bike, he happy. But customers are not allowed to jump to another shop. Anyway, s'pore not only 1 motordiam. he dun wan earn my $$$, I go to another shop lor.

to each his own...there's many shop around. dun haf to stick to 1..

personally..i dun haf problem wif them..as well as other shops..i do jump around as each workshop specialised in certain stuffs..as a consumer, I CAN CHOOSE!

think they depend on regular customers... i only go there for oil change.. dun ask for them to check ur bike loh, wan to earn money, of course ask u change this and that.. jus do wat u wan and go.. regular customers got better price..

Similarly i had an incident there. I always bring customers to him. He knows that.

Once i brought my friend there for a change of chain and sprocket.

 

The mech after putting on the new chain, pulled the rear wheel forward so that can adjust it backwards when the chain loosens. However my friends bike swingarm is modded shorter. so when flip up the mainstand, it will hit the rear wheel. As the chain has been cut, unable to lengthen it. as we know its not the mech's fault, so my friend talked to him nicely and see if anything can be done, my friend was willing to pay for the things to be put right... however he kicked up a big fuss and kept saying it cannot be done and say that we(i wasnt even in the picture, i merely brought him business but he included me into it:mad:) are giving him trouble. and say ask us to go elsewhere and tell us including me not to come back anymore...

 

For the past 3 yrs i have been giving him business in addition i always keep bringing fresh customers that had never been there before. Just because of something which can be easily remedied with $25(which he dunt even need to pay). he asked my friend to leave. Also pointed at me and asked me not to come back anymore.

 

i wont be going back anymore(for the time being), too bad ah hian(ken) works for him, else i wouldnt be bothered with going there no matter how cheap his stuff are.
